Imidazolinone-Resistant Sunflower Tolerance to Imazapic
Weed Technology, 2009Field trials were conducted in Georgia in 2007 to 2008 to evaluate the tolerance of three imidazolinone-resistant sunflower cultivars to POST applications of imazapic. There was no interaction between sunflower cultivar and herbicide treatment. When averaged over sunflower cultivars, imazapic, at 70 and 140 g ai/ha and applied at 30 d after planting ...

Grassland Legume Establishment with Imazethapyr and Imazapic
Agronomy Journal, 1999Legumes are important components of grassland communities in North America and have potential to improve grassland productivity and diversity. Weeds can interfere with the establishment of legumes and increase probability of stand failure. Four experiments were conducted from 1994 to 1997 to determine if the imidazolinone herbicides imazethapyr [2‐[4,5‐

Carryover of Imazethapyr and Imazapic to Nontolerant Rice
Weed Technology, 2010The present work aimed to evaluate plant injury caused by residues in the soil of the formulated mixture of imazethapyr and imazapic to a nontolerant genotype of rice (IRGA 417) drilled at 371 and 705 d after herbicide application (DAA). Herbicide carryover reduced up to 55% of the grain yield of the IRGA 417 drilled at 371 DAA, and plant injury was ...

Bioavailability of diuron, imazapic and isoxaflutole in soils of contrasting textures
Journal of Environmental Science and Health, Part B, 2009This research was aimed at understanding the dynamics of the herbicides diuron [3-(3,4-dichlorophenyl)-1,1-dimethylurea], imazapic [2-(4-isopropyl-4-methyl-5-oxo-2-imidazolin-2-yl)-5-methylnicotinic acid] and isoxaflutole [5-cyclopropyl-4-(2-methanesulfonyl-4-trifluoromethyl benzoyl)isoxazole] in two soils of different physico-chemical properties.

Sorption of imazapic and imazapyr herbicides on chitosan-modified biochars
International Journal of Environmental Science and Technology, 2020This study aimed to synthesize chitosan-modified biochars with the objective of producing an efficient biosorbents for immobilization of imazapic and imazapyr herbicides in soil. Two biochars were produced separately from oil palm empty fruit bunches and rice husk biomasses and then modified with chitosan in a nitrogen gas environment.
