Preparation of Imazethapyr Surface Molecularly Imprinted Polymers for Its Selective Recognition of Imazethapyr in Soil Samples [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Analytical Methods in Chemistry, 2018
A novel strategy based on imazethapyr (IM) molecular-imprinting polymers (MIPs) grafted onto the surface of chloromethylation polystyrene resin via surface-initiated atom transfer radical polymerization (SI-ATRP) for specific recognition and sensitive ...

Degradation Enhancement as the Mechanism of Resistance to Imazethapyr in Barnyardgrass [PDF]

open access: yesPlanta Daninha, 2018
: Non-target site (NTS) herbicide resistance by degradation enhancement is an increasing problem in several weeds around the world. In this study, the occurrence of degradation enhancement by cytochrome P450 monooxygenases (cytP450) was evaluated as the ...

Large Genetic Variability in Chickpea for Tolerance to Herbicides Imazethapyr and Metribuzin

open access: yesAgronomy, 2013
Chickpea (Cicer arietinum L.) is known to be sensitive to many herbicides and, therefore, choices for using post-emergence herbicides for weed control are limited.

Subgenomic Distribution and Herbicide Cross-Resistance of ALS Gene Mutations in Allohexaploid Echinochloa crus-galli. [PDF]

open access: yesPlant Direct
ABSTRACT Herbicide target site resistance in polyploid species is more complex than in diploids due to potential subgenome interactions. This study characterized mutations in the ALS gene across distinct subgenomes of hexaploid Echinochloa crus‐galli and evaluated the cross‐resistance patterns conferred by each mutation to various ALS‐inhibiting ...

Stacked mutations in multi-copy AHAS genes enhance sulfonylurea herbicide resistance in soybean. [PDF]

open access: yesPlant J
SUMMARY Weeds are a major factor that negatively impact crop yields. Developing herbicide‐resistant germlines is crucial for efficient weed control. Sulfonylurea‐ and pyrimidinyl benzoate‐based herbicides inhibit the function of acetohydroxyacid synthase (AHAS), a key enzyme in the biosynthesis of branched‐chain amino acids in plants. To create soybean

Deep learning-based laser weed control compared to conventional herbicide application across three vegetable production systems. [PDF]

open access: yesPest Manag Sci
In 2024, trials in New Jersey and New York evaluated the effectiveness of laser weeding with a Carbon Robotics unit compared with herbicides on beets, spinach, and peas. Results demonstrated that laser weeding was as effective or superior to herbicides in controlling weeds, reducing biomass by ≥97% and boosting crop growth by ≥30%.

Effects of limited irrigation and herbicide on yield, yield components and water consumption of beans (Phaseolus vulgaris L.) [PDF]

open access: yesپژوهش‌های حبوبات ایران, 2023
IntroductionThe effectiveness of productivity and sustainable agricultural development depends on the availability of natural resources as well as the efficiency of management measures in agricultural lands. Increasing water use efficiency is a promising
