Multiple resistance to glyphosate and imazethapyr in Bidens subalternans [PDF]

open access: yesCiência e Agrotecnologia, 2019
ABSTRACT Glyphosate has been widely used to control greater beggarticks populations that are resistant to acetolactate synthase (ALS) inhibitors in South America. However, herbicide control failures has been observed over the last three growing seasons in grain production areas of Paraguay.

Associations of Specific Pesticides and Incident Rheumatoid Arthritis Among Female Spouses in the Agricultural Health Study

open access: yesArthritis &Rheumatology, Volume 78, Issue 1, Page 49-58, January 2026.
Objectives Growing evidence suggests farming and agricultural pesticide use may be associated with rheumatoid arthritis (RA), but few studies have examined specific pesticides and RA among women living on farms, who may personally use pesticides or may be indirectly exposed.

Study on the Enantioselective Degradation of Imazethapyr in Soil by CE [PDF]

open access: yesChromatographia, 2008
A method was developed for the separation of imazethapyr enantiomers using capillary electrophoresis and large volume injection. Optimized buffer conditions were found using 6% hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin as the chiral selector at pH 11 with an injection time of 20 s (0.5 psi).

Impact of Pre‐Emergent Herbicides and Soil Management on Weed Community Dynamics and Soybean Yield

open access: yesInternational Journal of Agronomy, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Pre‐emergent herbicides are key tools in managing herbicide‐resistant and hard‐to‐control weed species in soybean (Glycine max L.) cultivation. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of pre‐emergent herbicides on weed phytosociology, soybean phytotoxicity, and grain yield under different soil management systems and environmental conditions.

Chemical control of broadleaf weeds in autumn-sown rainfed chickpea

open access: yesJournal of Plant Protection Research, 2019
Weed control is the most important constraint of autumn-sown chickpea production. Field experiments were conducted at three sites to evaluate the yield response of autumn-sown rainfed chickpea and weed control with PRE pendimethalin, POST pyridate, PRE

Termination strategies for high biomass cereal rye cover crop in soybean planting green systems

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 8, Issue 3, September 2025.
Abstract Weed management programs utilizing high‐biomass cereal rye (Secale cereale L.) cover crop in Wisconsin soybean [Glycine max (L.) Merr.] production systems are increasing in popularity. Much of this method's success depends on effective cereal rye termination and environmental conditions in the spring.

Efficient removal of imazethapyr from aqueous solution by Fe–Mg modified biochar: Performance, mechanism and applicability

open access: yesChemical Engineering Journal Advances
Given the persistent environmental and non-target organismal threats posed by imazethapyr, there is an urgent need to develop an efficient adsorbent material for the removal of residual imazethapyr.

Determination of the Mechanisms of MCPA Resistance in Amaranthus powellii

open access: yesPlant Direct, Volume 9, Issue 9, September 2025.
ABSTRACT Resistance to 2‐methyl‐4‐chloro‐phenoxyacetic acid (MCPA) was recently confirmed in a population of green pigweed (Amaranthus powellii) from Dresden, Ontario, Canada, with a resistance factor of 4.4. Resistance to synthetic auxin herbicides in Amaranthus species has previously been linked to non‐target site resistance mechanisms with low‐level
