Formaldehyde and acetaldehyde are commonly found in cloud droplets because of reversible partitioning and hydration reactions. An SOA formation pathway was recently identified in which these common aldehydes are irreversibly incorporated into imidazole ...

Photocatalytic coupling of amines to imidazoles using a Mo–ZnIn2S4 catalyst
, 2017Substituted imidazoles are traditionally synthesized by co-condensation of multiple feedstocks. Herein, we report a new route for the synthesis of substituted imidazoles via photocyclization of readily available amines at room temperature.

Condensation of mononucleotides by imidazole
Journal of Molecular Evolution, 1971The condensation of thymidine-5′-monophosphate was carried out in the presence of imidazole in aqueous solutions at neutral pH. Formation of oligo-deoxyribonucleotides up to four units was observed.

New complexes of copper cinnamates and imidazole or substituted imidazole
Thermochimica Acta, 1993Abstract We have prepared five new organo-metallic complexes of imidazoles and a dicarboxylate, copper cinnamate, which may be considered as extremely simple models of the active centres in most biocatalysts. The thermal behaviour of the complexes was studied. Using ESR and diffuse reflectance spectra, monomeric or dimeric species were detected.

In the present work, a green, rapid, convenient and eco-friendly method for the synthesis of 2,4,5-trisubstituted imidazoles is described. In this method, we used 1,2-diketone or α-hydroxy ketone, an aldehyde and ammonium acetate in the presence of ...

Structure of imidazole methemoglobin
Journal of Molecular Biology, 1981Abstract Crystals of horse methemoglobin shatter when soaked in crystallization buffer containing high concentrations of imidazole. By using less than saturating concentrations of imidazole, a stable imidazole derivative of crystalline methemoglobin was prepared and analyzed by X-ray difference Fourier techniques.

I₂-catalyzed synthesis of substituted imidazoles from vinyl azides and benzylamines.
Chemical Communications, 2015A novel and efficient I2-catalyzed oxidative tandem cyclization of simple vinyl azides and benzylamines has been developed for the synthesis of substituted imidazoles.
