Persistence of Imazapyr herbicide in the soil and its phytotoxic effect on winter and summer crops [PDF]

open access: yesRIA: Revista Investigaciones Agropecuarias, 2011
Imazapyr is a broad-spectrum herbicide of the imidazolinone chemical family that in Argentina is used on imidazolinone-tolerant corn and sunflower (Clearfield).

Generation of imidazolinone herbicide resistant trait in Arabidopsis

open access: yesPLOS ONE, 2020
Recently-emerged base editing technologies could create single base mutations at precise genomic positions without generation DNA double strand breaks. Herbicide resistant mutations have been successfully introduced to different plant species, including Arabidopsis, watermelon, wheat, potato and tomato via C to T (or G to A on the complementary strand)

Synthesis and antimicrobial activity of 5-imidazolinone derivatives

open access: yesIndian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences, 2009
Several 4-arylidene-2-phenyl-1-(2,4,5-trichlorophenyl)-1H-imidazol-5(4H)-ones (4a-q), N-(4-benzylidene-5-oxo-2-phenyl-4,5-dihydroimidazol-1-yl)-4-chlorobenzamides (5a-o) and N-(4-benzylidene-5-oxo-2-phenyl-4,5-dihydroimidazol-1-yl)-2,4-dichlorobenzamides (6a-m) were prepared.

Response of imidazolinone-tolerant volunteer oilseed rape to herbicides and herbicide mixtures used for broadleaved weed control in sugar beet

open access: yesJulius-Kühn-Archiv, 2012
Due to a higher proportion of oilseed rape (Brassica napus) in sugar beet rotations, volunteer oilseed rape can occur in increased numbers in subsequent crops.

Sunflower resistance to acetolactate synthase-inhibiting herbicides

open access: yesPesquisa Agropecuária Tropical, 2012
Sunflower is very sensitive to herbicides applied in post-emergence to control broad-leaf weeds. Researchers have developed herbicide-resistant genotypes to imidazolinone herbicides.

Imidazolinone Resistance in Oilseed Rape (Brassica napus L.): Current Status, Breeding, Molecular Markers and Prospects for Application in Hybrid Seed Purity Improvement

open access: yesHorticulturae
Resistance of agricultural crops to herbicides is an important topic that concerns many researchers. One of the most popular groups of herbicides is the imidazolinone group.

Response of imidazolinone-resistant and -susceptible weedy rice populations to imazethapyr and increased atmospheric CO2 [PDF]

open access: yesPlanta Daninha, 2020
Background: Weedy rice (Oryza sativa L.) is the main weed of rice crop. The high genetic variability of weedy rice contributes to the high phenotypic diversity between biotypes and different responses to environmental stress.

Development of herbicide-tolerant irrigated rice cultivars Desenvolvimento de cultivares de arroz irrigado tolerantes a herbicida

open access: yesPesquisa Agropecuária Brasileira, 2010
The objective of this work was to develop new irrigated rice lines tolerant to imidazolinone herbicides. The backcross breeding procedure was used to transfer the imidazolinone tolerance allele from mutant 93AS3510 to the recurrent parents 'BRS 7 Taim ...

Performance of an S‐metolachlor capsule suspension for barnyardgrass control and crop tolerance in fenclorim‐treated rice

open access: yesAgrosystems, Geosciences &Environment, Volume 9, Issue 2, June 2026.
Abstract Barnyardgrass [Echinochloa crus‐galli (L.) P. Beauv.] is the most problematic weed of delayed‐flooded rice (Oryza sativa L.) systems in the mid‐southern United States. Recent findings suggest that acetochlor can achieve effective barnyardgrass control in rice, but rice injury can occur with rainfall soon after application.
