UCST‐Driven Shape Morphing in Digital Light Processing 4D‐Printed Hydrogels

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A DLP‐printable UCST hydrogel based on poly(acrylic acid‐co‐acrylamide) enables reversible thermally induced expansion and 4D shape morphing. Rational control of composition, porosity, and multimaterial architecture enables predictable 4D shape morphing through differential swelling and localized actuation, opening new opportunities for high‐resolution

Surrogate‐Optimized Flow‐Guided Miniature Condenser for Rapid Exhaled Glucose Detection

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
A surrogate‐optimized miniature condenser guides humid exhaled flow toward cold surfaces to accelerate exhaled breath condensate collection. By improving vapor access within a compact footprint, the design increases sample yield. This enables post‐collection enrichment and rapid colorimetric glucose detection from dilute exhaled biomarkers within a 5 ...

Programmable Variable‐Stiffness Multilayer Elastomer Composites With High‐Aspect‐Ratio Low‐Melting‐Point Alloy Inclusions

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
High‐aspect‐ratio low‐melting‐point alloy inclusions are embedded within multilayer silicone laminates to create thermally programmable stiffness. Sequential activation of alloy‐rich layers produces four distinct mechanical states and reconfigures tendon‐driven actuator trajectories under the same load.

Chiral Porphyrin Monolayers on Ferromagnetic Thin Films: Ultrafast Spectroscopy of Hybrid Interfaces

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Chiral porphyrin–oligopeptide monolayers covalently bound to Au‐capped Co/Ni multilayers form surface‐parallel J‐type aggregates and exhibit measurable singlet‐state transient absorption despite monolayer coverage. Femtosecond pump–probe spectroscopy reveals strong excited‐state quenching at the metal interface, yet no long‐lived charge‐transfer ...

Eco‐Designed Transparent Bacterial Cellulose Composites for Next‐Generation Opto‐Electronics

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
The developed transparent bacterial cellulose (BC) composite film using bio‐based resin results in higher transparency (89%) and lower haze (12%) at 550 nm, combined with insulative, hydrophobic and mechanically robust properties, thereby, enabling successful fabrication of an electrochromic device with efficient optical modulation on a sustainable ...
