Targeting ROCK2 to Restore Epileptic Synaptic Networks via Mitophagy Activation: Insights from Translational Imaging of SV2A In Vivo

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
By integrating synaptic vesicle glycoprotein 2A PET imaging and transcriptomics, this study identifies Rho‐associated protein kinase 2 (ROCK2) as a critical regulator of synaptic network dysfunction in temporal lobe epilepsy. Pharmacological ROCK2 inhibition restores synaptic density and enhances mitophagy, thereby reducing seizures and neuronal damage.

High‐Asymmetry Metasurface: A New Solution for Terahertz Resonance via Active Learning‐Augmented Diffusion Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A prior knowledge‐guided diffusion model augmented by physics‐constrained active learning is developed to design high‐asymmetry terahertz metamaterials. Trained on only a small set of classical structures, the model efficiently generates new high‐metrics designs.

Multifunctional Metal Halide Perovskite‐Modified Aqueous Electrolytes for Zinc Metal Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Multifunctional metal halide perovskite‐modified aqueous electrolytes for zinc metal batteries introducing Cs2SnCl6 as an electrolyte additive significantly enhances battery performances by regulating solvent structure, stabilizing pH, and restricting dendrite growth. The Cs2SnCl6 modified electrolyte promotes uniform zinc plating, achieves exceptional

Globotriaosylceramide Gb3 Influences Wound Healing and Scar Formation by Orchestrating Fibroblast Heterogeneity

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In superficial second‐degree burn wounds, Gb3 turns on genes related to papillary cells through the FGF2 signaling pathway. This increases the ability of cells to break down fibrin and decreases fibrosis, which ultimately prevents scar formation in burn injuries.

From Knitting Technology to Robotics: Untethered Thermally Actuated Textile Exoskeleton for Dexterity Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A textile‐based exoskeleton glove with integrated thermally driven actuators achieves rapid, low‐power response for dexterous motion. Utilizing advanced knitting methods, embedded heaters, and hybrid yarn sensors, the glove bends in a segmented fashion under 12 s at only 10.8 W and 48 °C.

Aging as a Loss of Goal‐Directedness: An Evolutionary Simulation and Analysis Unifying Regeneration with Anatomical Rejuvenation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The paper proposes that the root cause of aging is the loss of anatomical goal‐directedness after development. Using evolutionary neural cellular automata simulations, the authors show that after the organism has reached its developmental homeostatic setpoint (the adult morphology), the absence of target state to pursue leads to a drifting anatomical ...
