Immunoglobulin E (Reagin) and Allergy
Nature, 1971A tissue-sensitizing factor found in the sera of allergic subjects has been identified as a unique immunoglobulin, IgE. Investigations of its mode of action could lead to the development of new forms of treatment.

The Receptor for Immunoglobulin E
1988Cellular receptors for IgE are broadly divided into two major categories. The division is based primarily on the relative affinity for ligand, although it is noted that high affinity IgE receptors are found exclusively on mast cells and basophils, while low affinity receptors are found on a much broader range of haematopoietic cell types (see Table 3.1)
