Immunofluorescent Examination of Biopsies from Long-Term Renal Allografts [PDF]

open access: yes, 1970
Immunofluorescent examination of open renal biopsies revealed clear-cut glomerular localization of immunoglobulins not related clearly to the quality of donor-recipient histocompatibility in 19 of 34 renal allografts.

Applied biotechnology for production of immunoglobulin Y specific to hepatitis A virus

open access: yesJournal of Virological Methods, 2011
A new protocol for producing polyclonal antibody against hepatitis A virus (HAV) is described. Twenty hens were immunized three times with a commercial HAV vaccine and HAV from a cell culture with three types of adjuvants: CpG oligodeoxynucleotides (CpG-ODN), incomplete Freund's adjuvant and an alum adjuvant.

Life‐Threatening Bradycardia in Anti‐NMDA‐Receptor Encephalitis and a Novel Use for Permanent Pacing

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Pediatric anti‐NMDA receptor encephalitis (pNMDARE) is an autoantibody‐mediated disorder that can cause severe autonomic dysfunction, including symptomatic bradycardia and asystole. Dysautonomia can last for years, making it very challenging to manage.

Analysis of the structural correlates for antibody polyreactivity by multiple reassortments of chimeric human immunoglobulin heavy and light chain V segments. [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
Polyreactive antibodies (Abs) constitute a major proportion of the early Ab repertoire and are an important component of the natural defense mechanisms against infections.

In‐Depth Profiling Highlights the Effect of Efgartigimod on Peripheral Innate and Adaptive Immune Cells in Myasthenia Gravis

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Myasthenia gravis (MG) is an autoimmune disorder characterized by antibody‐mediated complement activation. Efgartigimod, a neonatal Fc receptor (FcRn) antagonist, is approved for treating generalized MG (gMG). However, its modulatory effects on upstream innate and adaptive immune cells remain largely unexplored.

Agarose gel serum protein electrophoresis in cats with and without lymphoma and preliminary results of tandem mass fingerprinting analysis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
Background: Serum electrophoretic profiles in cats are poorly characterized with respect to the protein components of the globulin fractions, and interpretation of the electrophoretograms has routinely been done in ignorance of the ...

Migration Behavior of Immunoglobulin Y in Native Page Electrophoresis

open access: yesJurnal Sains dan Kesehatan, 2019
ABSTRACT Protein separation with electrophoresis in native state (native Polyacrylamide Gel Electrophoresis, native PAGE) is rarely applied in laboratory which results in limited scientific report. Native PAGE result can be used in further assay analysis or shows important protein-protein interaction.

Remote Monitoring in Myasthenia Gravis: Exploring Symptom Variability

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Myasthenia gravis (MG) is a rare, autoimmune disorder characterized by fluctuating muscle weakness and potential life‐threatening crises. While continuous specialized care is essential, access barriers often delay timely interventions. To address this, we developed MyaLink, a telemedical platform for MG patients.

Purification of immunoglobulin Y (IgY) from egg yolk by gel filtration chromatography

open access: yesMajallah-i Dānishgāh-i ̒Ulūm-i Pizishkī-i Bābul, 2001
Objective: Purification of immunoglobulin Y from egg yolk by chromatography is a new investigation. In this study, we developed an easy and inexpensive method for purification of IgY from egg yolk.

Hyperimmune egg-based IgY-rich formulations as adjuvant therapy in a murine model of urinary tract infection

open access: yesJournal of Global Antimicrobial Resistance
AIM: Evaluating the efficacy of two Immunoglobulin Y-rich products using a murine model of Escherichia coli urinary tract infection. BACKGROUND: Uropathogenic Escherichia coli is responsible for the majority of urinary tract infections (UTIs), with a ...
