In vivo crosslinking and effective 2D enrichment for proteome wide interactome studies

open access: yesCommunications Chemistry
Cross-linking mass spectrometry has evolved as a powerful technique to study protein-protein interactions and to provide structural information. Low reaction efficiencies, and complex matrices lead to challenging system wide crosslink analysis.

Integrated Single‐Nucleus Multi‐Omics Atlases Reveal Lineage Plasticity and Regulatory Networks of Luminal Epithelial Cells During Mammary Gland Lactation and Involution

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study integrates single‐cell multi‐omics, spatial transcriptomics, and cross‐species comparative analyses to systematically characterize the cellular composition and differentiation trajectories of goat mammary epithelial cells, along with the gene regulatory networks and intercellular communication mechanisms governing these trajectories, thereby

Mime-seq 2.0: a method to sequence microRNAs from specific mouse cell types

open access: yesThe EMBO Journal
Many microRNAs (miRNAs) are expressed with high spatiotemporal specificity during organismal development, with some being limited to rare cell types, often embedded in complex tissues.

Overcoming Transmission Barriers: A Dual‐Functional Adhesive Hydrogel for Direct Monkeypox Virus Neutralization and Wound Healing

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
MPXV infection leads to persistent viral replication and severe local inflammation, while existing treatments cannot simultaneously remove viruses and repair injured tissue. This study constructs Polymer@mPDA@Gel hydrogel via a two‐step hierarchical assembly method: mPDA anchors photothermal polymers to form antiviral photothermal subunits, which are ...

Rapid Multiplex Antimicrobial Resistance Profiling and Bacterial Identification by LAP‐MALDI Mass Spectrometry Biotyping

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Liquid atmospheric pressure matrix‐assisted laser desorption/ionization (LAP‐MALDI) mass spectrometry (MS) provides multiplexed biotyping of microbial cultures using a fast and simple workflow. This is demonstrated for clinically relevant bacteria, resulting in accurate antimicrobial resistance (AMR) detection, speciation by MS/MS sequencing and ...

Functional and structural analyses of IMP-27 metallo-β-lactamase: evolution of IMP-type enzymes to overcome Zn(II) deprivation

open access: yesMicrobiology Spectrum
IMP-type metallo-β-lactamases are di-Zn(II) enzymes that can inactivate a wide range of bicyclic β-lactam agents used in clinical practice. IMP-27 shares 82% amino acid sequence identity with IMP-1, the first IMP-type enzyme identified.

Imp-β2 is involved in moving Gli2 into the cilium.

open access: yes, 2016
(A) NIH/3T3 Flp-In cells expressing GFP-Gli2 were transfected with either myc-MBP-M9M or myc-MBP as control, stimulated with SAG and Gli2 ciliary localization was analysed in transfected cells.

Further Evidences for the Sulfur Spillover on Carbon: Thermodynamic Aspects and Effects on Li‐S Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This study investigates sulfur spillover, the spontaneous and rapid spread of sulfur over carbon surfaces at ambient temperature. The process is studied by small‐angle X‐ray scattering (SAXS), X‐ray radiography, and microcalorimetry from which a number of physicochemical properties are derived.
