Impact response of functionally graded conical shells
This paper presents low velocity impact response of functionally graded pretwisted conical shells. The modified Hertzian contact law which accounts for permanent indentation is utilized to compute the contact force and other impact parameter.

Objectives Sjögren's disease is an autoimmune disorder that can impact multiple organ systems, including the peripheral nervous system (PNS). PNS manifestations, which can exist concurrently, include mononeuropathies, polyneuropathies, and autonomic nervous system neuropathies. To help patients and providers in the decision‐making process, we developed

Study on Erosion Wear Property and Mechanism of 35CrMo Steel
In the oil and gas operations, due to the erosion of high-speed sand carrying fluid, well control manifolds are prone to rupture and pipe piercing, which could eventually cause industrial accidents.

Impact parameter profile of synchrotron radiation
The horizontal impact parameter profile of synchrotron radiation, for fixed vertical angle of the photon, is calculated. This profile is observed through an astigmatic optical system, horizontally focused on the electron trajectory and vertically focused

A Q‐Learning Algorithm to Solve the Two‐Player Zero‐Sum Game Problem for Nonlinear Systems
A Q‐learning algorithm to solve the two‐player zero‐sum game problem for nonlinear systems. ABSTRACT This paper deals with the two‐player zero‐sum game problem, which is a bounded L2$$ {L}_2 $$‐gain robust control problem. Finding an analytical solution to the complex Hamilton‐Jacobi‐Issacs (HJI) equation is a challenging task.

Classical particle scattering for power-law two-body potentials [PDF]
We present a rigorous study of the classical scattering for anytwo-body inter-particle potential of the form $v(r)=g/r^\gamma$, with$\gamma\textgreater{}0$, for repulsive ($g\textgreater{}0$) and attractive ($g\textless{}0$)interactions.

Keldysh-Rutherford model for attoclock
We demonstrate a clear similarity between attoclock offset angles and Rutherford scattering angles taking the Keldysh tunnelling width as the impact parameter and the vector potential of the driving pulse as the asymptotic velocity.
