Three-dimensional impact angle control guidance law using quaternion

2015 15th International Conference on Control, Automation and Systems (ICCAS), 2015
This paper suggests the impact angle control guidance law defined in three dimensional space. The formal impact angle control guidance laws were described as biased PN guidance law which consisted of PN and biased term. Now the proposed impact angle control guidance law is composed of the PN term extended from two-dimensional planes to three ...

Finite-Horizon Robust Suboptimal Control-Based Impact Angle Guidance

IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 2020
This paper presents impact angle guidance based on finite-horizon robust optimal control. This approach, a fusion of newly proposed finite-time state-dependent Riccati equation and integral sliding-mode-control, solves finite-horizon tracking problem for input-affine nonlinear systems with specified terminal conditions.

Practical Solution to Impact Angle Control in Vertical Plane

Journal of Guidance, Control, and Dynamics, 2014
IMPACT angle control shapes the trajectories of antiship and antitank missiles to increase warhead effectiveness and survivability against missile defense systems. The guidance law design with specific impact direction has been a hot topic in the past four decades. Kim and Grider [1] were pioneers in this field. Since then, many algorithms have emerged

Elliptical trajectory based three-dimensional impact angle control guidance

2018 IEEE Aerospace Conference, 2018
A guidance law with terminal impact angle constraint for three-dimensional intercept have been presented for missile. Elliptical trajectory is proposed to satisfy desired impact angle, which is generated by two positions of missile and target, two flight path angles of missile and target and minimal eccentricity condition.

Optimal control based guidance law with impact angle constraint

2017 36th Chinese Control Conference (CCC), 2017
An optimal impact angle control guidance law is proposed in this paper. The missile system is approximated under the small heading error assumption and the impact angle control guidance law is derived based on the approximated system to minimize the energy cost. The proposed guidance law has a form of biased PNG law and it's in accord with the previous

Modified circular curve-based impact angle control guidance

Proceedings of the Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Part G: Journal of Aerospace Engineering
To plan the path for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) considering the impact angle and acceleration constraints, a novel geometric rule is proposed in this paper. Firstly, under the nonlinear engagement kinematics, the geometric rule is derived from the modified circular curve including two parameters, one for the convergence of the acceleration, the ...

Nonlinear Impact Angle Control Guidance Law for Stationary Targets

AIAA Guidance, Navigation, and Control Conference, 2016
A novel nonlinear impact angle guidance law for stationary targets, based on Lyapunov stability theory, is proposed in this work. Unlike the previous works, proposed guidance law generates necessary acceleration commands perpendicular to the velocity vector based on controlling nonlinear line-of-sight dynamics between target and pursuer.

Time-optimal impact angle control for vertical plane engagements

IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems, 1999
As a part of trajectory modulation to increase terminal effectiveness, impact angle control is required in the terminal phase of tactical missile systems. Moreover, the missile systems are allowed to have only low altitude and minimum flight time to reduce the probability of detection by sensors of missile defence systems and thus to increase ...
