Cutaneous Melanoma Drives Metabolic Changes in the Aged Bone Marrow Immune Microenvironment
Melanoma, the deadliest form of skin cancer, increasingly affects older adults. Our study reveals that melanoma induces changes in iron and lipid levels in the bone marrow, impacting immune cell populations and increasing susceptibility to ferroptosis.

ABSTRACT As global populations age, cancer is increasingly becoming a leading cause of morbidity and mortality among older adults, particularly in low‐ and middle‐income countries (LMICs). Despite accounting for the majority of new cancer cases and deaths, older individuals remain underrepresented in cancer research, clinical guidelines, and health ...

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

Tracking Motor Progression and Device‐Aided Therapy Eligibility in Parkinson's Disease
ABSTRACT Objective To characterise the progression of motor symptoms and identify eligibility for device‐aided therapies in Parkinson's disease, using both the 5‐2‐1 criteria and a refined clinical definition, while examining differences across genetic subgroups.

The impact of standardized footwear on load and load symmetry
Clinical Biomechanics, 2021The inability to standardize footwear is a potential issue when measuring landing kinetics in non-laboratory settings. This study determined the impact of not standardizing footwear on load and load symmetry during landing. A secondary purpose of this study was to introduce the Load Analysis Program, an open-source MATLAB® user-interface for computing ...

This paper covers an analysis of different types of slamming experiments with account taken of different model structural characteristics and the effect of air entrapped in the water. Model data for peak impact pressure are found to correlate on the basis of an absolute pressure ratio and a velocity ratio that accounts for inertial effects.

The WILD system, which was Introduced to monitor and control damaging track forces by identifylng defective wheels in passing trains accordlng to pre-set limits and reporting immediately by a modem link, is described. Associated cost savings are estimated, recent Improvements are described and future developments are outlined.
