The application of ferrite magnetic nanoparticles (MNPs) in medicine finds its rapidly developing emphasis on heating mediators for magnetic hyperthermia, the ever-promising "fourth leg" of cancer treatment. Usage of MNPs depends largely on the preparation processes to select optimal conditions and effective routes to finely tailor MNPs.

Impact of the Synthetic Route on the De-Alloying of Electrodeposited Cu3au Alloys
ECS Meeting Abstracts, 2015The development of highly active, durable, and cost-effective catalysts is essential in today’s fuel cell industry. Virtually all such catalysts include high priced Pt.1 A preferred synthetic route aimed at reducing total catalyst cost involves the use of an inert support coated by a small amount of Pt-based catalyst.

Impact of synthetic route on the structural and microstructural changes in the ZrO2-CaO system
2017In the presented research we investigated phase development in the ZrO2-CaO system during the thermal treatments up to 1000 °C. The precursors of ZrO2-CaO system covering the whole concentration range were prepared using two synthetic routes: co-precipitation from aqueous solutions and ball milling of the corresponding nitrate salts.
