Synergistic Effects in Multistate Black Electro‐Thermochromic Smart Windows for Energy‐Efficient Modulation of Solar Heating

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Hybrid electro‐thermochromic smart windows are developed for dynamic climate control by integrating a redox‐matched black electrochromic gel with a paraffin‐based thermochromic film. This synergistic combination enables multimodal solar modulation, where photothermal heating from the electrochromic layer triggers thermochromic activation at lower ...

Sn‐Driven Grain Boundary Elimination for Single‐Crystalline Ni‐Rich Cathodes with Superior High‐Voltage Stability in Lithium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A low‐temperature synthesis method of single‐crystalline NCA was successfully achieved by Sn doping, employing the same synthetic conditions as its polycrystalline counterparts. This synthesis was conducted at a temperature that was 150 °C lower than that required for synthesizing single‐crystalline NCA without Sn doping.

PLXDC2 siRNA‐Mediated Intervention Attenuates Microglial Senescence Through cGAS‐STING Signaling

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
PLXDC2 was identified as a microglial target in Parkinson's disease through human and mouse single‐cell analyses. Ferritin‐armed biomimetic nanovesicles delivered PLXDC2 siRNA, deferoxamine, and CeO2 nanoparticles across the blood–brain barrier, reducing cGAS‐STING activation, iron burden, oxidative stress, and senescence in microglia, thereby ...

Detaching Photosensitive Nanoparticles from Cells Prevents Them from Remaining in Cells after Photoporation

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Phenylboronic acid‐functionalized gold nanoparticles reversibly attach to cell‐surface glycans, enhancing photoporation‐mediated intracellular delivery. After irradiation, ATP competitively disrupts the boronic ester interactions and removes cell‐associated nanoparticles, markedly reducing residual gold.

Acid‐Responsive Nanobot‐Integrated Core‐Shell Microneedles Reprogram the Degenerative Annulus Fibrosus Microenvironment Through Epigenetic Suppression of Ferroptosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
An acid‐responsive core‐shell microneedle system normalizes the degenerative annulus fibrosus microenvironment by consuming pathological H+, generating O2, and providing NIR‐amplified redox buffering. Mechanistically, it epigenetically suppresses ferroptosis via DNMT3A‐dependent methylation of the ATF3 promoter, relieving ATF3‐mediated repression of ...

Plant Metabolites Screening Identifies 7‐epi‐10‐Deacetyltaxol Inhibiting Cell Division by Interfering With the Cell Cycle and Microtubule Organization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In this study, an efficient screening system is developed for plant metabolites to find a compound, 7‐epi‐10‐deacetyltaxol, inhibits tissue elongation. It suppresses plant growth through brassinosteroid and microtubule pathways. It is later applied to animal cells and human tumor organoids, resulting in similar cell division suppression. These findings

Assessment of Electrosensitivity of the Pulp of the Mandibular Second Molar after Surgical Removal of an Impacted Mandibular Third Molar

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Medicine, 2021
Despite the frequent discussion of complications associated with surgical removal of wisdom teeth in the scientific literature, increased mobility of the second molar, which can affect the clinical status of the pulp, is often downplayed or overlooked ...

Management of Impacted Third Molars

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinics of North America, 2020
Impacted third molars occur in a significant number of patients and often require treatment because of presence of symptoms and/or disease. Management of these teeth typically involves referral to oral and maxillofacial surgeons for diagnosis, treatment planning, and ultimate removal if indicated.

Managing Impacted Third Molars

Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinics of North America, 2015
Oral and maxillofacial surgeons can be reasonably certain of the behavior of wisdom teeth and the outcomes of different management strategies. An organized approach based on symptom and disease status simplifies management recommendations. The patients who provide the greatest challenge to certainty are those whose wisdom teeth are asymptomatic and ...

The Development of Third Molar Impaction

British Journal of Orthodontics, 1975
Comparisons were made between a group of 45 subjects with impacted lower third molars and a group of 50 subjects whose lower third molars had erupted, by means of various measurements made on cephalometric radiographs. Both these groups formed part of a longitudinal study of third molar development.
