AARS1‐Mediated H3K27 Lactylation Rewires Glycolysis to Sustain Aggressive and Recurrent Bladder Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
AARS1 drives PI3K–AKT–mTOR‐dependent glycolysis in bladder cancer, promoting lactate accumulation, increased lactylation, H3K27la enrichment at the HK2 promoter, and HK2 transcription. HK2 reinforces glycolysis, sustaining a metabolic–epigenetic program associated with tumor progression, recurrence, and metastasis.

The Natural Course of Impaired Fasting Glucose.

Advances in Experimental Medicine and Biology, 2020
Impaired glucose regulation, including diabetes and prediabetes, poses a huge global problem not only in health but also in the epidemiological and economic areas. These disorders are often detected too late or remain unrecognized. The article aims to provide a review of the prevalence, etiology, and natural history of impaired fasting glucose (IFG ...

Effects of n-3 pufas on fasting plasma glucose and insulin resistance in patients with impaired fasting glucose or impaired glucose tolerance.

BioFactors, 2016
AIM to evaluate if a supplementation with n-3 PUFAs at high doses could give a regression of the condition of impaired glycemia. METHODS we enrolled 281 overweight/obese patients with impaired fasting glucose (IFG) or impaired glucose tolerance (IGT ...
