Impedance identification in a hydrodynamically developed flow
International Journal of Thermal Sciences, 2019Abstract This paper is an extension of the previous work by Degiovanni & Remy (2014) [1], where it was analytically demonstrated that the appropriate representation of interfacial heat transfer consists in defining a generalized impedance Z . The latter is intrinsic to the flow and does not depend on the thermal boundary conditions.

High Impedance Fault Identification Method of Distribution Networks
Advanced Materials Research, 2012Abstract. High impedance fault has always been difficult for distribution network fault identification due to its unobvious fault signature and difficult detection. This paper decomposed the transient signal in multi-scale by utilizing the good localization performance of the wavelet in both time domain and frequency domain, reconstructed the wavelet ...

LPV subspace identification of time-variant joint impedance
2013 6th International IEEE/EMBS Conference on Neural Engineering (NER), 2013Goal of this study was to verify the usability of a novel linear parameter varying (LPV) identification technique for the identification of time-varying joint impedance. Quantification of neuromechanical parameters describing joint impedance improves understanding of human movement control and is of clinical relevance for diagnostics and treatment ...

Wavelet transform for high impedance fault identification
APSCOM-97. International Conference on Advances in Power System Control, Operation and Management, 1997This paper describes the application of a wavelet transform to a high impedance fault identification. Fault simulation is carried out with EMTP96. Results demonstrate that there is a high potential in the use of wavelets to distance relaying.

Minimal measurement time in electrochemical impedance identification
Electrochimica Acta, 1994Abstract In this paper the appropriate combination of identification methods and input signal excitation is given in order to get a minimal measurement time in electrochemical impednace spectroscopy. It is shown that all the usual methods give the same estimation with the lowest error bound when a periodic signal is used as the input excitation ...

Grid Impedance Identification Using the VSC Switching Ripple
2019 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition (ECCE), 2019This article presents a method for estimating the grid impedance with application to islanding detection and online tuning of a current controller that regulates the grid current in a grid-tied inverter with LCL filter. The presented solution requires a low computational effort when implemented in a converter that is commanded by a finite control set ...

Accuracy of human joint impedance identification
2019Human joint impedance represents the dynamical relationship between the torque and the angle of a joint of the human muscoskeletal system. The identification of human joint impedance of the lower limbs’ joints can provide important information for the design and control of wearable bionic devices that can assist the user in performing daily tasks ...

CRACK IDENTIFICATION IN BEAM STRUCTURES USING MECHANICAL IMPEDANCE
Journal of Sound and Vibration, 2002Abstract The influence of a transverse open crack on the mechanical impedance of cracked beams under various boundary conditions is investigated both analytically and experimentally. It is shown that the driving-point impedance changes substantially due to the presence of the crack and the changes depend on the location and the size of the crack and ...

Harmonic network impedance identification with pulse response analysis
2013 3rd International Conference on Electric Power and Energy Conversion Systems, 2013The network impedance at a point of common coupling (PCC) of public mains is an essential parameter for design and control of power electronic systems connected to the PCC. Identifying its spectral characteristic is challenging, because it requires a measureable excitation of the network in the desired frequency range. Further on, the network impedance
