Determination of the Impedance Matching Domain of Impedance Matching Networks
IEEE Transactions on Circuits and Systems Part 1: Regular Papers, 2004This paper investigates the impedance boundary of impedance matching networks analytically, graphically representing the resultant impedance matching domains. A set of explicit equations is derived to allow the rapid development of the impedance boundary of such networks.

In many applications, it is desirable to synthesize an adaptive impedance to match some "real world" system, so that when the target impedance changes, the matching impedance tracks this change and maintains a close match. In this paper we present a scheme for adaptive impedance matching formulated in the Model Reference Adaptive Systems' Control (MRAS)

Impedance Matching in RFID Tags: to Which Impedance to Match?
2006 IEEE Antennas and Propagation Society International Symposium, 2006This paper presents an analysis of impedance matching in passive radio frequency identification (RFID) tags. RFID chip impedance varies with frequency and with the power absorbed by the chip. The variation of this impedance with power can drastically affect the performance of the chip. We show how the impedance variation of the chip front makes the tag

Quasi-Orthogonal Grids with Impedance Matching
SIAM Journal on Scientific Computing, 2000This paper presents a general elliptic grid generation system based on quasi-conformal mapping for arbitrary anisotropic regions. This system can be used to construct quasi-orthogonal smooth grids with an externally specified spacing normal to the boundaries of the domain.

Electrically small antenna suffer from the high Q impedance such as narrow bandwidth and poor gain. To improve them, passive impedance matching is often used but it is restricted to a Bode-Fano limit. To skip it, active matching incorporating non-Foster circuits can provide a good solution.

Impedance matching at arterial bifurcations
Journal of Biomechanics, 1993Reflections of pulse waves will occur in arterial bifurcations unless the impedance is matched continuously through changing geometric and elastic properties. A theoretical model is presented which minimizes pulse wave reflection through bifurcations.

Impedance Networks and Their Matching
2017Impedance networks matching involves input impedance matching, output impedance matching, and load phase matching, which should be considered together as designing an impedance networks converter.

Impedance transformation and matching
1991Starting with the expression derived in Chapter 2 for the input impedance of a length of terminated transmission line, it is shown that the transmission line acts as an impedance transformer of complex ratio. The Smith chart, a form of circle diagram which is a graphical aid for solving many transmission line and waveguide impedance calculations, is ...

Impedance Matching (Correspondence)
IRE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques, 1955Matching an impedance to a transmission line by the use of a cascaded section of line is a well-known process. However, the range of terminating impedance that can be matched by this method, I believe, is not so well-known. Consider a lossless line of characteristic impedance R/sub0/ to which is to be matched an arbitrary impedance /bar Z/ = R + jX by ...
