Single-phase isolated impedance-source inverters
2015 9th International Conference on Power Electronics and ECCE Asia (ICPE-ECCE Asia), 2015This paper presents a new class of impedance source inverters which offers high frequency isolation between the inverter bridge and the load. Conventional Z-source inverter which employs a impedance network consisting of inductors and capacitors have unique features which can be realized as both buck and boost functions without the need of dead time ...

A Novel Switching Loss Analysis of Coupled-Inductor Impedance-Source Inverters
IECON 2021 – 47th Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2021The Impedance-source inverters have been proposed for integrating voltage-boost, buck and inversion into a single stage with shared functionalities and hence lesser active switches. Recently, some of them even have coupled inductors included for raising gain, while retaining high dc-link utilization without extra components.

Enhanced-Boost Z-Source Inverters With Switched Z-Impedance
IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, 2016This paper proposes a new topology for an enhanced-boost Z-source inverter (ZSI) with combined two Z-impedance networks. By two Z-impedance networks and low shoot-through duty cycle, the proposed inverter produces high output voltage gain. In traditional ZSIs for high boosting voltage, a low modulation index is required; hence, under these conditions ...

A family of cost-effective magnetically-coupled impedance source inverters
IECON 2017 - 43rd Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2017This paper presents a family of cost-effective magnetically-coupled impedance source inverters for renewable energy systems. The inverters are derived from magnetically-coupled impedance source networks, featuring low cost and no ground leakage current when used in PV system. The numbers of required semi-conductor switches is reduced.

Neutral point clamped quasi-impedance-source inverter
2011 7th International Conference-Workshop Compatibility and Power Electronics (CPE), 2011In this paper a new modification of a three-level neutral-point-clamped inverter is presented. The proposed topology combines the advantages of the three-level neutral-point-clamped full-bridge inverter with those of the quasi-impedance-source inverter.

New control algorithm for impedance (Z-source) inverter
2013 International Mutli-Conference on Automation, Computing, Communication, Control and Compressed Sensing (iMac4s), 2013A Z-source inverter with a customized modified reference (sine) based pulse width modulation technique is proposed for energy conversion systems e.g. hybrid vehicle. In this system six reference and one carrier signal are used to generate switching pulses.

Enhanced Boost Active Switched Impedance Quasi Z-Source Inverter
2019 International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Informatics (ICEEI), 2019A new topology called Enhanced Boost Active Switched Impedance-qZSI (EBASZ-QZSI) was introduced in this paper. This topology has a high voltage gain value with a smaller duty cycle compared to the previous topology. This topology also offers lower current ripple values and voltage stresses compared to the previous topology under the same conditions ...

Analysis of magnetically-coupled impedance source three-phase four-switch inverters
IECON 2017 - 43rd Annual Conference of the IEEE Industrial Electronics Society, 2017In this paper, magnetically-coupled impedance source (MCIS) three-phase four-switch inverters are introduced for renewable energy applications. This inverter utilizes two single-phase MCIS inverters to obtain a three-phase output, where less component-count is achieved in order to reduce the inverter volume.

Tapered and inverted Wein networks: Source impedance compensation
Proceedings of the IEEE, 1974The bandpass Wein network and the inverse Wein notch network are considered in their general tapered form. It is proved that for these networks the effect of the internal impedance of the driving source can be exactly compensated for in a simple manner.
