HYDRAULIC DEVELOPMENT OF A CENTRIFUGAL PUMP IMPELLER USING THE AGILE TURBOMACHINERY DESIGN SYSTEM

open access: yesTASK Quarterly, 2002
The impeller of an existing industrial pump (with both geometry and performance known) was analyzed and redesigned using an integrated, design/analysis, turbomachinery geometry modeling and flow simulation system.

Prediction of runner eccentricity and Alford force of a Kaplan turbine based on variational mode decomposition

open access: yesEnergy Science & Engineering
The rotor blades of an axial‐flow turbine are cantilever structures, and there is inevitably a gap between them and the casing. Due to factors such as rotor wear and unit vibration, the eccentricity of the impeller will change during the operation of the

Comparative Numerical Studies for the Flow Energy Dissipation Features in a Vertical Two‐Stage Centrifugal Pump in Pump and Turbine Conditions

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
Based on entropy theory, this study presents a comparative numerical analysis of the flow energy dissipation (FED) in a VTSP under two distinct operating conditions: pump condition and turbine condition, both characterized by relatively high hydraulic efficiencies of 88.9% and 87.4%, respectively. In pump condition, the highest FED production occurs in

The Gas‐Liquid Separation Characteristics Inside a Drainage Self‐Priming Pump Under Different Discharge Valve Openings

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
To investigate the influence of discharge valve opening on the self‐priming characteristics of a self‐priming pump, numerical calculations are conducted for four different discharge valve openings based on a circulation piping system. The hydraulic performance and the internal flow characteristics during self‐priming process are obtained.

Analysis of Energy Consumption, Economic Efficiency and Carbon Emissions of Ice Slurry Direct Supply System: A Case Study of China

open access: yesEnergy Science &Engineering, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Traditional air conditioners suffer from low energy efficiency and exacerbate grid peak loads. While ice storage offers energy‐saving potential, the systematic regulation of ice packing fraction (IPF) on cooling consumption and its synergy with dynamic carbon emissions remains unexplored.

Cholesterol Metabolism Regulated Nanoliposome Ameliorates Chemo/Photothermal Therapy Reversing CD8+ T Cell Exhaustion

open access: yesExploration, EarlyView.
Our work addresses the challenge of treating triple‐negative breast cancer by developing a multifunctional nanoliposome, ictLipo. The goal was to enhance antitumor immunity by combining photothermal therapy and chemotherapy while simultaneously tackling two major roadblocks: immunosuppression from cholesterol in the tumor microenvironment and therapy ...
