VIBRATION SPECTRUM OF QUANTUM IMPELLERS
International Journal of Modern Physics B, 2010For the first time, we construct a quantum impeller model, then we adopt the invariant eigen-operator (IEO) method to derive its vibration spectrum. Vibration spectrum of the quantum impeller composed of two types of laminae is also deduced. It seems to us that IEO method greatly simplifies the derivation.

Individual impeller flooding in aerated vessel stirred by multiple-Rushton impellers
Chemical Engineering Journal, 2006The paper presents flooding detection in the dispersion of air into water in a stirred vessel equipped with a multiple-turbine impeller. All experiments were performed in a pilot-size mixing vessel using single, dual and triple Rushton turbine impellers. Deionized water and compressed air were used as a working fluid.

Effect of Impeller Speed Perturbation in a Rushton Impeller Stirred Tank
Journal of Fluids Engineering, 2012Flow inside an unbaffled Rushton-impeller stirred tank reactor (STR) is perturbed using a time dependent impeller rotational speed. Large eddy simulation (LES) revealed that the perturbation increased the width of impeller jet compared to the constant rotational speed cases.

Cross sections showed substantial penetration of the wall thickness without loss of material. The observed supercooled structure implied low strength but would not affect corrosion resistance.

Rotordynamic instabilities generated by rotordynamic fluid forces are often reported. It is recognized that the forces affect the whirling motion of the rotor, and induce the self-excited vibration.
