Imperceptible Visible Light Communications Based on Just Imperceptible Difference
IEEE Communications Letters, 2019Indoor visible light communications (VLCs) have a major disadvantage that communications are not sustentative when and where artificial lightings are unavailable (e.g., bedroom with dim lighting, cinema). Thus, different from WiFi, its counterpart in RF, VLC is not “always on”.

Imperceptible Audio Communication
ICASSP 2019 - 2019 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech and Signal Processing (ICASSP), 2019A differential acoustic OFDM technique is presented to embed data imperceptibly in existing music. The method allows playing back music containing the data with a speaker without users noticing the embedded data channel. Using a microphone, the data can be recovered from the recording.

Phonemic imperception in aphasia
Brain and Language, 1984This study investigated characteristics of 14 aphasics with impaired phoneme discrimination identified from a population of 100 patients with left hemisphere lesions. All patients with impaired phoneme discrimination were significantly impaired in aural comprehension, but many showed intact sound recognition and some showed normal reading comprehension.

Trois souvenirs imperceptibles
2021What’s in a memory ? And what about many accumulated memories ? In the theater, they are sometimes used as shibboleths: to be able to say "I was there" is to express that one belongs to a certain generation of spectators. This dialogue between fellow witnesses is often complemented by particular stories that may escape critical notice and involve ...

Imperceptible Stimuli and Sensory Processing Impediment
Science, 2003Weak sensory stimuli can fully escape conscious perception and yet evoke minute electroencephalography (EEG) responses ([1][1]), indicating at least partial cortical processing of such “subliminal” input.

Detect the Imperceptible Drowsiness
SAE International Journal of Passenger Cars - Electronic and Electrical Systems, 2010<div class="section abstract"><div class="htmlview paragraph">Prediction of drowsiness based on an objective measure is demanded in machine and vehicle operations, in which human error may cause fatal accidents. Recently, we focused on the pupil which is controlled by the autonomic nervous system, easily and non-invasively observable from ...

Imperceptible sensory channels
Computer, 2004System designers can use imperceptible sensory channels to create smarter, safer, and more secure environments. Beyond their diverse applications, imperceptible sensory channels suggest a new approach to the problem of machine perception. In adapting a video camera a device designed to capture human-readable images for use by the PDP-6, Minsky and ...
