Testing the Minimal Repair Assumption in an Imperfect Repair Model
Journal of the American Statistical Association, 1994Abstract Models assuming minimal repair specify that on repair, a failed system is returned to the working state, while the effective age of the system is held constant; that is, the distribution of the time until the next failure of the repaired system is the same as for a system of the same age that has not yet failed.

A Repair Strategy Based on Minimal and Imperfect Repairs for Two-dimensional Warranty
2010 International Conference on E-Business and E-Government, 2010The costs from the servicing of warranty depend on the reliability of the product, the maintenance actions, and the servicing strategy. In this paper, we focus on a repair strategy based on minimal and imperfect repairs for two-dimensional warranty. We consider a rectangular warranty region with two measures (age and usage) and divide it into three ...

Imperfect repair model for complex repairable system - a literature survey with discussion
2015 IEEE International Conference on Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management (IEEM), 2015Complex repairable system models address the dynamics of the failure and repair process. These models arecritical to the maintenance optimization. This paper firstly discusses different repair effectiveness. Imperfect repair is considered as the most frequently occurred repair effectiveness.

Bayesian multivariate imperfect repair model
Journal of Statistics and Management Systems, 2010Summary: This paper generalizes a multivariate imperfect repair model by adapting a Bayesian approach. We concern with modeling a system whose components have specific multivariate distribution of dependent lifelengths. Upon failure, each components undergoes imperfect repair.

Performance of Two-Component Systems with Imperfect Repair
International Journal of Operations Research and Information Systems, 2010Operational systems deteriorate over time and eventually fail by the failure of one or more of their components. Failed components are either replaced or repaired, and replacement is usually expensive. This article examines the behavior of repairable systems with imperfect repair, where a failed component is repaired once or more depending on factors ...
