Mediante una metodología histórico-prosopográfica, se establece la biografía de los obispos de Mérida atestiguados desde el reinado de Constantino I hasta las primeras entradas de los pueblos germánicos en la península Ibérica: Liberio, Florencio, Hidacio, Patruino y Gregorio.
