Russländische Städte des 18. Jahrhunderts und das Imperium. Abschließende Überlegungen

open access: yesModerne Stadtgeschichte, 2022
This concluding contribution evaluates the importance of “Empire” as a specific form of political-administrative government for Russia’s cities in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, as examined in the special issue. Three dimensions were relevant:

A Geometrically Transient Platform for Bioelectronic Implants

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Minimally invasive bioelectronic implants often compromise performance for smaller sizes. To resolve this optimization dilemma, a wireless bioelectronic implant with a transient geometry is introduced (MiFi). The origami‐inspired device miniaturizes up to sixfold for syringe insertion and autonomously unfolds post‐implantation.

TEORIA IMPERIUM JAKO TEORIA (ANTY)GLOBALIZACJI [PDF]

open access: yes, 2008
Artykuł dotyczy teorii imperium, a także teorii systemu światowego, uznawanej przez teoretyków myśli społecznej za dogodną „bazę” intelektualną do formułowanych współcześnie różnorodnych teorii globalizacji.

Fabrication of Fibers With Complex Features Using Thermal Drawing of 3D‐Printed Preforms

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
3D printing enables rapid fabrication of macroscale polymer preforms with complex geometries. Thermal drawing then scales these structures into long fibers while preserving micron‐scale cross‐sectional features. This workflow provides a fast, low‐cost route to functional fibers with tailored geometries and material combinations for catheter, robotic ...

Multimodal Locomotion in Insect‐Inspired Microrobots: A Review of Strategies for Aerial, Surface, Aquatic, and Interfacial Motion

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This review identifies key design considerations for insect‐inspired microrobots capable of multimodal locomotion. To draw inspiration, biological and robotic strategies for moving in air, on water surfaces, and underwater are examined, along with approaches for crossing the air–water interface.

Autonomous Navigation of Pollen‐Inspired Magnetic Microrobots for Biomedical Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A sunflower pollen‐inspired magnetic microrobot enables controlled rolling navigation in vessel‐like environments. Its open geometry reduces hydrodynamic drag, while vision‐based closed‐loop control, shortest‐path planning, and reinforcement learning support target‐reaching and maze navigation with microrobot‐scale accuracy, highlighting a route toward
