Analytical consideration of liquid droplet impingement on solid surfaces

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2017
In industrial applications involving spray-cooling, combustion, and so on, prediction of the maximum spreading diameter of a droplet impinging on a solid surface permits a quantitative estimation of heat removal and energy consumption.

mTORC2 Phosphorylation of GSDME‐N Drives Cullin4B‐Mediated Proteasomal Degradation to Suppress Pyroptosis and Confer Radioresistance in Small Cell Lung Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Radioresistance severely limits the efficacy of therapies for small cell lung cancer (SCLC). This study reveals a novel mechanism of resistance driven by the active suppression of pyroptosis. Specifically, the mTORC2 complex directly phosphorylates GSDME‐N and promotes its CUL4B‐mediated ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation.

Sub‐Terahertz Memristor Switches Using MoS2 by Liquid–Liquid Interface Assembly

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work introduces application‐ready sub‐terahertz memristor switches fabricated from electrochemically exfoliated MoS2 nanosheets assembled at a liquid–liquid interface. The devices exhibit robust unipolar resistive switching, low insertion loss, and high isolation across 10–110 GHz.

Mixed-type femoroacetabular impingement associated with subspine impingement: recognizing the trifocal femoropelvic impingement

open access: yesRevista Brasileira de Ortopedia (English Edition), 2018
To describe the arthroscopic surgical technique for subspine impingement (SSI) of the anterior inferior iliac spine (AIIS) associated with mixed type femoroacetabular impingement (FAI), through two standard arthroscopic portals (anterolateral and distal mid-anterior) in two patients with trifocal impingement.

The history of femoroacetabular impingement

open access: yesBone & Joint Research, 2020
AimsFemoroacetabular impingement (FAI) describes abnormal bony contact of the proximal femur against the acetabulum. The term was first coined in 1999; however what is often overlooked is that descriptions of the morphology have existed in the literature for centuries. The aim of this paper is to delineate its origins and provide further clarity on FAI

Junction Physics and Architectural Paradigms in Optoelectronic Semiconductor Fibers

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Optoelectronic fibers are emerging as a key platform for distributed sensing, energy harvesting, and optical communication in deformable systems. Their performance is fundamentally governed by junction formation under confined, dynamic processing conditions.

Air impingement drying of Spirulina Platensis [PDF]

open access: yesSongklanakarin Journal of Science and Technology (SJST), 2010
Spirulina is a cyanobacteria filled with therapeutic and nutritive properties that can be easily digested. It contains71% protein by weight and a higher percentage of GLA (Gamma-Linolenic Acid) than any other plant.

Dynamic Evolution‐Controlled Parabolic‐Shaped Microstructures for Ultra‐Black Surface via Self‐Assembled Microsphere Mask Etching

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A robust, substrate‐independent fabrication approach overcomes the spectral and geometric limitations of traditional stray‐light suppression. By combining ink spray‐coating with self‐assembled microsphere mask etching, this method produces parabolic‐shaped microstructures on diverse planar and curved engineering components.

Load‐transfer in the human vertebral body following lumbar total disc arthroplasty: Effects of implant size and stiffness in axial compression and forward flexion

open access: yesJOR Spine, 2020
Adverse clinical outcomes for total disc arthroplasty (TDA), including subsidence, heterotopic ossification, and adjacent‐level vertebral fracture, suggest problems with the underlying biomechanics.
