Beyond Imperfect Match: Silicon/Graphite Hybrid Anodes for High‐Energy–Density Lithium‐Ion Batteries
Silicon/graphite (Si/Gr) hybrid anodes are limited by Si's large volume change and mismatch with Gr. This review offers mechanistic insights into imperfectly matched Si/Gr hybrid anodes, elucidating heterogeneous lithiation behavior and interfacial failure pathways, and thereby informing the design of durable, high‐energy–density lithium‐ion batteries.

Study of an array of two circular jets impinging on a flat surface
In this study, the flow characteristics of an array of two circular, laminar air jets impinging on a smooth solid wall are experimentally and numerically investigated. Direct visualizations using high speed/resolution camera are performed.

This study presents a compact freeform projection optics using dual wedge prisms for waveguide displays. Unlike previous designs that separate illumination and imaging paths, a freeform optical path integrates both. The system achieves a 32º field of view, 37.5 pixels per degree, and a total volume of less than 2 cm3.

Analysis of impingement heat transfer for two parallel liquid-metal slot jets [PDF]
An analytical method is developed for determining heat transfer by impinging liquid-metal slot jets. The method involves mapping the jet flow region, which is bounded by free streamlines, into a potential plane where it becomes a uniform flow in a ...
