Development of the occipitopetrosal junctions: A histological study using human fetuses
Abstract The temporal bone petrosa is connected to the occipital bone at two sites: one junction with the basilar part (medial junction) and another with the lateral part (lateral junction). Using histological specimens from 45 human fetuses (approximately 7–39 weeks of gestational age or GA), we aimed to describe possible changes in histology and ...

Topical Formulations Containing Mentha piperita for Wound Healing: A Scoping Review
This scoping review synthesizes evidence from preclinical studies on topical formulations containing Mentha piperita for the treatment of infected wounds. The formulations, including creams, hydrogels, nanoemulsions, and lipid carriers, demonstrated antimicrobial and healing potential, reducing bacterial growth, biofilm formation, and inflammation, in ...

Domed‐rim microbial polygons and their preservation potential
Microbially induced sedimentary structures (MISS) derive through interactions between minerals and microorganisms. We define a domed‐rim MISS, morphologically distinct from abiotic mud cracks and demonstrate its potential for long‐term preservation. These structures represent promising biosignatures in ancient environments on Earth and potentially Mars.

Marine heatwaves (MHWs) pose a threat to global marine forests, with the effects of warming potentially being even greater on early life stages, which are often understudied. We evaluated the responses of Phyllospora comosa—one of the most crucial forest‐forming seaweeds in South‐eastern Australia—early life stages from warm‐edge and central ...
