Relationship between vitamin D deficiency and early implant failure and osseointegration

open access: yesPeriodontology 2000, EarlyView.
Abstract Background This systematic review investigated the relationship between pre‐operative vitamin D levels and implant osseointegration and implant‐related outcomes. It also assessed studies involving vitamin D supplementation before implant placement.

Rethinking ‘Hill‐Valley Divide’ in Darjeeling District, India: An Autoethnographic Approach to Highland Identities

open access: yesStudies in Ethnicity and Nationalism, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This research examines the Hill‐Valley divide in Darjeeling district, West Bengal, India, where Nepali‐speaking hill communities coexist with Bengali‐speaking valley populations. It argues that this division is a colonial construct, shaped by British policies that romanticised the hills as a ‘mini‐England’ while separating them from the valley

Coupling between global brain blood oxygen level‐dependent activity and cerebrospinal fluid dynamics in young endurance athletes

open access: yesExperimental Physiology, EarlyView.
Abstract Cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) contributes to brain waste clearance through its coupling with cerebral haemodynamics. Aerobic exercise promotes brain health, but its influence on brain waste clearance remains unclear. This study examined the coupling between CSF and cerebral haemodynamics in endurance athletes. Fifteen young male endurance athletes

Shedding light on the environmental efficiency of the public light service: minimising light pollution through the global Malmquist–Luenberger index

open access: yesInternational Transactions in Operational Research, Volume 34, Issue 1, Page 528-551, January 2027.
Abstract The search for evidence in public management and the implementation of good management by public bodies is becoming increasingly important, and the principles of effectiveness and efficiency should be reinforced. Therefore, this paper aims to analyse the change in efficiency in the provision of public lighting services by local governments ...

Rational points on even‐dimensional Fermat cubics

open access: yesTransactions of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 13, Issue 1, December 2026.
Abstract We show that even‐dimensional Fermat cubic hypersurfaces are rational over any field of characteristic not equal to three, by constructing explicit rational parameterizations with polynomials of low degree. As a byproduct of our rationality constructions, we obtain estimates for the number of their rational points over a number field and ...

Evaluation of Phantom Doping Materials in Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 96, Issue 4, Page 1545-1556, October 2026.
ABSTRACT Purpose To measure magnetic susceptibility (χ) with Quantitative Susceptibility Mapping (QSM) and evaluate its repeatability using four phantom doping materials relevant to QSM applications. Methods A cylindrical phantom was constructed containing vials of agarose gel doped with two paramagnetic materials (ferritin, USPIO) and two diamagnetic ...

Influence of torque and bone type on stability quotient of two implant platforms: a clinical trial

open access: yesBrazilian Oral Research
The objective of this study was to analyze the influence of insertion torque, bone type, and peri-implant bone loss on implant stability quotient (ISQ) of cylindrical external hexagon (EH) and Morse Taper (MT) implants. Forty-four single implants were placed in the edentulous areas of 20 patients who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria ...

Conservation Agriculture Improves Soil Resilience by Integrating Physical, Chemical, and Biological Pathways

open access: yesGlobal Change Biology Communications, Volume 1, Issue 3, September 2026.
Conservation agriculture significantly enhances soil resilience in tropical agroecosystems, especially in semiarid areas characterized by high degradation susceptibility, mostly related to the occurrence of shallow soils and increasing climate stress.

The Clinical Significance of Implant Stability Quotient (ISQ) Measurements: A Literature Review

open access: yes
Implant stability quotients (ISQ values) are obtained in dental clinical practice on non-invasive basis by resonance frequency measurement rapidly after surgical placement of implants. The ISQ-values are used as indicator for mechanical implant stability, and are believed to have predictive power for clinical outcome.
