Index of an implicit differential equation [PDF]
In the first part of the article, the authors introduce the notion of an index of an implicit ordinary differential equation at an isolated singularity and show that equivalent germs of implicit differential equations possess identical indices. They provide explicit expressions for the case of binary differential equations of degree \(3\).

Implicit and iterative methods for the Boltzmann equation [PDF]
The paper presents some approximation methods for the Boltzmann equation. In the first part fully implicit discretization techniques for the spatially homogeneous Boltzmann equation are investigated. The implicit equation is solved using an iteration process.

Computing the Newton Polygon of the Implicit Equation [PDF]
We consider polynomially and rationally parameterized curves, where the polynomials in the parameterization have fixed supports and generic coefficients. We apply sparse (or toric) elimination theory in order to determine the vertex representation of its implicit polygon, i.e. of the implicit equation's Newton polygon.

An Analysis of the Theta-Method for Pantograph-Type Delay Differential Equations
The pantograph equation arises in electrodynamics as a delay differential equation (DDE). In this article, we provide the ϑ-method for numerical solutions of pantograph equations. We investigate the stability conditions for the numerical schemes.

Implicit Equations of the Henneberg-Type Minimal Surface in the Four-Dimensional Euclidean Space
Considering the Weierstrass data as ( ψ , f , g ) = ( 2 , 1 - z - m , z n ) , we introduce a two-parameter family of Henneberg-type minimal surface that we call H m , n for positive integers ( m , n ) by using the ...

A Nonlinear Implicit Fractional Equation with Caputo Derivative
In this paper, we study a nonlinear implicit differential equation with initial conditions. The considered problem involves the fractional Caputo derivatives under some conditions on the order.

On the Multiplicity of Implicit Differential Equations
In this paper the study of the implicit differential equation (IDE) \[ F(x,y,dy/dx)=0 \] (where \(F\) is an analytic function in \((x,y))\) is motivated by some concrete problems concerning binary differential equations (BDE) of the form: \[ a(x,y)dy^2+2b(x,y)dxdy+c(x,y)dx^2=0.

Implicit difference approximation for the two-dimensional space-time fractional diffusion equation [PDF]
In this paper, we consider a two-dimensional fractional space-time diffusion equation (2DFSTDE) on a finite domain. We examine an implicit difference approximation to solve the 2DFSTDE. Stability and convergence of the method are discussed.
