An engineered microtissue model is developed and optimized to investigate human liver development. Extracellular matrix composition and mechanical forces are tuned using high‐throughput assays. Human induced pluripotent stem cells serve as the cellular source, enabling the observation of de novo patterned differentiation.

Biologically Active Implants Prevent Mortality in a Mouse Sepsis Model
A modular, triple‐action titanium implant is developed to prevent implant‐associated infections by repelling bacteria, killing pathogens, and enhancing tissue integration. Coatings with phage cocktails targeting P. aeruginosa and S. aureus show significant bacterial reduction and improved survival in a mouse sepsis model.

We have vaccines for nearly thirty of the more than seventy infectious diseases which are pathogenic for humans. Most of the vaccines, especially those to prevent childhood diseases, are highly effective with a high safety profile. Vaccines are being developed against many of the other bacteria and viruses, and some parasites.

This study investigates a synergistic effect between 3D‐printed surface features and mechanical micro‐strain in enhancing the osteogenic, angiogenic, and myogenic responses of human mesenchymal stem cells (hMSCs). Load‐induced mechanotransduction, facilitated by the implant's architectural design, significantly amplifies hMSC differentiation.
