Qualitative reasoning with imprecise probabilities
This paper investigates the possibility of performing automated reasoning in probabilistic knowledge bases when probabilities are expressed by means of linguistic quantifiers. Data are expressed in terms of ill-known conditional probabilities represented by linguistic terms.

Issue Construals and Corporate Water Stewardship
ABSTRACT In the face of mounting environmental and social pressures, the importance of responsible corporate water stewardship (CWS) should be evident, yet not all businesses are taking water management issues seriously. The aim of this study is to explore why differences in CWS persist, especially within industries facing similar resource challenges ...

Design and implementation of advanced Bayesian networks with comparative probability [PDF]
The main purpose of this research is to enhance the current procedures of designing decision support systems (DSSs) used by decision-makers to comprehend the current situation better in cases where the available amount of information required to make an ...

Attitude toward imprecise information [PDF]
This paper presents an axiomatic model of decision making under uncertainty which incorporates objective but imprecise information. Information is assumed to take the form of a probability-possibility set, that is, a set $P$ of probability measures on ...

Stable Non-standard Imprecise Probabilities [PDF]
Stability arises as the consistency criterion in a betting interpretation for hyperreal imprecise previsions, that is imprecise previsions (and probabilities) which may take infinitesimal values. The purpose of this work is to extend the notion of stable coherence introduced in [8] to conditional hyperreal imprecise probabilities.

ABSTRACT Global imperatives, such as climate change, environmental concerns, and carbon emissions, make green transformation an inevitability in the logistics sector. Green logistics strategy formulation is an economic choice problem, but it also turns out to be a multicriteria decision‐making (MCDM) process that encompasses the triple bottom line (TBL)

Engineering Design under Imprecise Probabilities: Computational Complexity
In engineering design problems, we want to make sure that a certain quantity c of the designed system lies within given bounds - or at least that the probability of this quantity to be outside these bounds does not exceed a given threshold.

Failure Probability Analysis of Coherent Systems using Intuitionistic Fuzzy Fault Tree Approach [PDF]
In scenarios where system component failure probabilities are insufficient or imprecise, classical fault tree analysis methods often fail in providing precise assessments of system reliability and safety.

ABSTRACT Institutional investors increasingly rely on ESG ratings to evaluate financially material sustainability risks, while governments promote corporate alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Because these frameworks differ substantially in capital market salience and monitoring intensity, board oversight may not ...

Imprecise probabilities are often modelled with representors, or sets of probability functions. In the recent literature, two ways of interpreting representors have emerged as especially prominent: vagueness interpretations, according to which each ...
