Flexoelectrically Induced Polar Topology in Twisted SrTiO3 Membranes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Twisted SrTiO3 bilayers host polar vortices of flexoelectric origin, revealed through combined experiment and theory. By reconstructing polarization from the toroidal moment of strain gradients, the work establishes a 3D chiral state with broken inversion and mirror symmetries.

Label‐Free SERS Fingerprinting of Neuroprotein Conformational Dynamics in Human Saliva

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Galvanic molecular entrapment (GME) is a label‐free method for detecting and quantifying neuroprotein conformational states. This technique enables direct surface binding and in situ hotspot generation around molecules, effectively overcoming challenges related to target localization and mismatched hotspot geometries.

INTRAOPERATIVE IMPRINT CYTOLOGY ‎ [PDF]

open access: yesBasrah Journal of Surgery, 2004
A prospective study was conducted on 60 specimens; 33 breast lumps and 27 lymph nodes, to assess the value of ‎intraoperative imprint cytology as an aid in surgical decision especially in the absence of the facility of frozen ‎section examination ...

Topology and Material Optimization in Ultra‐Soft Magneto‐Active Structures: Making Advantage of Residual Anisotropies

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Residual magnetization induces pronounced mechanical anisotropy in ultra‐soft magnetorheological elastomers, shaping deformation and actuation even without external magnetic fields. This study introduces a computational‐experimental framework integrating magneto‐mechanical coupling into topology optimization for designing soft magnetic actuators with ...

Photochromic Cholesteric Liquid Crystals via Arylazopyrazole Functionalization of Hydroxypropyl Cellulose

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
We produce a new derivative of hydroxypropyl cellulose functionalized with arylazopyrazole side chains and demonstrate its photoswitchable behaviors in dilute and concentrated aqueous solutions, ultimately designing a series of photochromic cholesteric materials that can be photopatterned as write‐erase displays.

Role of imprint cytology in thoracic endoscopy suite

open access: yesThe Egyptian Journal of Bronchology, 2020
Background Fiberoptic bronchoscopy and medical thoracoscopy are basic interventional modalities for the diagnosis of a wide variety of pleuropulmonary diseases. In some cases, we need fast and accurate results for decision-making.

Chiral Metal Halide Perovskites for Spin‐Polarized Light‐Emitting Diodes

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Chiral metal–halide perovskites offer a route to circularly polarized light without external polarizers. This Perspective compares two spin‐light emitting diode concepts: intrinsically chiral emissive layers and chiral spin‐filter interlayers that inject spin‐polarized carriers into efficient achiral emitters.

Histopathology-like categories based on endometrial imprint cytology in dysfunctional uterine bleeding

open access: yesJournal of Cytology, 2015
Background: Cytology of the endometrium is an underused technique in diagnostic pathology. It has been used in the past for endometrial hyperplasia and carcinoma. Only few studies have used cytology in the diagnosis of dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB)

Humid‐Air Condensation Heat Transfer on Hierarchical Structured Superhydrophobic Graphite Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Humid‐air condensation on graphite composites shows that making a surface superhydrophobic is not sufficient to enhance heat transfer. A hierarchical CuO/lauric‐acid coating yields spherical droplets but promotes Wenzel‐type pinning and adds effective thermal resistance under operation.
