A Fusion and Genetic Optimization–Based Feature Selection Method With GRU for Intrusion Detection System

open access: yesApplied Computational Intelligence and Soft Computing, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
An intrusion detection system (IDS) analyzes network traffic to detect suspicious activities. Rapidly increasing the scale of network technology and the use of diverse new network devices dramatically introduces large‐dimensional features and noises. These introduced performance degradations in the IDS and increased its computational complexity.

Dynamic programming in economics on a quantum annealer

open access: yesQuantitative Economics, Volume 17, Issue 1, Page 1-37, January 2026.
We introduce novel algorithms for solving dynamic programming problems in economics on a quantum annealer, a specialized quantum computer used for combinatorial optimization. Quantum annealers begin in a superposition of all states and generate candidate global solutions in milliseconds, regardless of problem size.

Mitochondrial Genome Analysis of Philippine Eagles (Pithecophaga jefferyi Ogilvie‐Grant 1896) From the Greater Mindanao Faunal Region

open access: yesEcology and Evolution, Volume 15, Issue 12, December 2025.
Mitogenome sequencing is a promising alternative for the genetic studies of animals. In this work, we examined the genetic diversity of the critically endangered and endemic Philippine eagles and their evolutionary relationship to other birds of prey.
