A new common battery telephone set has been developed and is now in production which is materially better than previous types in performance and convenience to the user. This paper describes this set, and discusses, as typical of Bell System dleveopment processes, the contributions of the operating, development, and manufacturing organizations to the ...

Improvement Sets and Convergence of Optimal Points
Journal of Optimization Theory and Applications, 2014``The aim of this paper is to give sufficient conditions for the existence of optimal points [in vector optimization] with respect to an improvement set, in the framework of Banach spaces.'' \(E\) is an improvement set with respect to a convex ordering cone \(K\) in a linear topological space iff the origin does not belong to \(E\), and it is invariant

Improved CoMFA Modeling by Optimization of Settings
Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling, 2005The possibility of improving the predictive ability of comparative molecular field analysis (CoMFA) by settings optimization has been evaluated to show that CoMFA predictive ability can be improved. Ten different CoMFA settings are evaluated, producing a total of 6120 models.

Improving Vaccination Rates in the Clinical Setting
Pediatric Annals, 2023Pediatric providers can consider using the 5 P's paradigm for process improvement to optimize vaccination rates in the clinical settings: People, Processes, Pharmacy principles, Pain prevention, and Presumptive vaccine communications. Maintaining high clinical setting vaccination rates requires hiring and training the right people with ...

An improved set of mndo parameters for sulfur
Journal of Computational Chemistry, 1986AbstractThe MNDO parameters for sulfur have been reoptimized. Calculations for a number of sulfur compounds indicate a very significant improvement. Inclusion of d AOs failed to correct the errors for compounds of sulfur in its higher valence states. Since d AOs are not included, the calculations are still confined to compounds of divalent sulfur.

Fuzzy rough set and its improvement
2005 IEEE International Conference on Granular Computing, 2005The fusion of rough set and fuzzy set has become one of the hot issues in the disposal of intelligence information in recent years. In this paper, fuzzy equivalence class on /spl Delta/-transitive compatible relation is introduced. A special /spl Delta/-transitivity, also referred to as Tm-fuzzy transitive compatible relation in information systems is ...

An Improved Algorithm for Building the Characterizing Set
2010 4th IEEE International Symposium on Theoretical Aspects of Software Engineering, 2010FSM-based testing can obviously reduce the cost of test generation. So many FSM-based test generation methods have been presented to generate effective test sequences. Most of them need to construct the characterizing set of the FSM. However, there are two disadvantages in the existing algorithm for building the characterizing set.

Settings for School Improvement
International Journal of Disability, Development and Education, 2003The last two decades have witnessed tens of thousands of attempts to improve schooling for primary and secondary school students. Some attempts are highly local; others range in scope from small (a cluster of schools) to very large (a nationwide school system).
