The Role of Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation in Ataxia‐Telangiectasia

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Ataxia‐telangiectasia (A‐T) is a DNA repair disorder characterized by neurodegeneration, immunodeficiency, and cancer predisposition. Hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) is an established therapy in related disorders such as Fanconi anemia (FA) and Nijmegen breakage syndrome (NBS), but its role in A‐T is unclear.

Low rank prior in single patches for non-pointwise impulse noise removal [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
This paper introduces a low rank prior in small oriented noise-free image patches: Considering an oriented patch as a matrix, a low-rank matrix approximation is enough to preserve the texture details in the optimally oriented patch.

Dynamic Test of a Viaduct on the Orastie–Sibiu Highway

open access: yesRomanian Journal of Transport Infrastructure, 2017
Dynamic testing of bridges has as target to establish their response on pulse forces between the wheels and unevenness of road surface. Generally, during the tests, real time accelerations or deformations are to be measured and which through successive ...

Existence of solutions for a class of second-order sublinear and linear Hamiltonian systems with impulsive effects

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2011
By using the saddle point theorem, some new existence theorems are obtained for second-order Hamiltonian systems with impulsive effects in the cases when the gradient of the nonlinearity grows sublinearly and grows linearly respectively.

A Bibliometric Analysis of Publications in Uremic Toxins From 1991 to 2024

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background Uremic toxins are a growing area of research in nephrology, with significant implications in the progression and treatment of chronic kidney disease (CKD) and the management of end‐stage kidney disease (ESKD). This bibliometric analysis aims to evaluate the global research trends, key contributors, and the impact of publications in ...

Which impulse response function? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
This paper compares standard and local projection techniques in the production of impulse response functions both theoretically and empirically. Through careful selection of a structural decomposition, the comparison continues to an application of US ...

Impulse and DC breakdown strength of polypropylene thin film

open access: yesPhysics of Complex Systems, 2020
The paper presents the results of a study of the electric strength of a polypropylene film with a thickness of 2 μm. The breakdown voltage of the film was determined under the influence of electric pulses and with a slowly increasing voltage. The rate of

Singing under the impulsiveness: impulsivity in psychiatric disorders [PDF]

open access: yesPsychiatry and Clinical Psychopharmacology, 2017
Impulsivity is a key feature of numerous psychiatric disorders. This paper reviews the recent evidences on the impulsivity in elderly, relationship between impulsivity and borderline personality disorder (BPD) with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), impulsivity with anxiety and mood disorders, and the psychopharmacological approaches to ...

Prognosis of Long‐Term Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy and the Impact of Combined Continuous Intravenous Sodium Infusion Therapy

open access: yesTherapeutic Apheresis and Dialysis, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Patients requiring long‐term continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT) generally have poor prognoses. This study evaluated whether adding continuous intravenous sodium infusion (cIVNa) is associated with improved hemodynamics and outcomes in patients undergoing long‐term CRRT for ≥ 7 days.
