(ω,c)-Periodic Solutions to Fractional Differential Equations with Impulses

open access: yesAxioms, 2022
This paper deals with the (ω,c)-periodic solutions to impulsive fractional differential equations with Caputo fractional derivative with a fixed lower limit.

Adaptive System Identification using Markov Chain Monte Carlo

open access: yes, 2015
One of the major problems in adaptive filtering is the problem of system identification. It has been studied extensively due to its immense practical importance in a variety of fields. The underlying goal is to identify the impulse response of an unknown

Prevalence and Trajectory of Household Material Hardship Among Children With Advanced Cancer

open access: yesPediatric Blood &Cancer, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Background/Objectives Families of children with advanced cancer living in poverty experience inferior outcomes including poor parent mental health and worse child quality of life. Household material hardship (HMH: food, housing, transportation, and/or utility insecurity) is a modifiable poverty exposure—and potential intervention target—that ...

Nozzle contours for minimum particle-lag loss [PDF]

open access: yes, 1963
The flow of a gas-particle mixture through a rocket nozzle is analyzed under the approximation that the particle slip velocity is small compared with the average mixture velocity, using one-dimensional gasdynamics, the Stokes drag law, and corresponding ...

Organoids in pediatric cancer research

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Dynamic Test of a Viaduct on the Orastie–Sibiu Highway

open access: yesRomanian Journal of Transport Infrastructure, 2017
Dynamic testing of bridges has as target to establish their response on pulse forces between the wheels and unevenness of road surface. Generally, during the tests, real time accelerations or deformations are to be measured and which through successive ...

Existence of solutions for a class of second-order sublinear and linear Hamiltonian systems with impulsive effects

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Qualitative Theory of Differential Equations, 2011
By using the saddle point theorem, some new existence theorems are obtained for second-order Hamiltonian systems with impulsive effects in the cases when the gradient of the nonlinearity grows sublinearly and grows linearly respectively.

Impulse Radio Systems with Multiple Types of Ultra-Wideband Pulses [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
Spectral properties and performance of multi-pulse impulse radio ultra-wideband systems with pulse-based polarity randomization are analyzed. Instead of a single type of pulse transmitted in each frame, multiple types of pulses are considered, which is ...

Lessons to be learned from the coherent photoproduction of pseudoscalar mesons [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We study the coherent photoproduction of pseudoscalar mesons---particularly of neutral pions---placing special emphasis on the various sources that put into question earlier nonrelativistic-impulse-approximation calculations.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.
