The forming and emission of high power electromagnetic pulses

open access: yesITM Web of Conferences, 2018
An impulse energy source, a power conditioning system and an electromagnetic field emitter are essential to generate an electromagnetic field pulse (EMFP) with a specific frequency bandwidth.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Portable High Voltage Impulse Generator

open access: yesIngeniería e Investigación, 2011
This paper presents a portable high voltage impulse generator which was designed and built with insulation up to 20 kV. This design was based on previous work in which simulation software for standard waves was developed.

TRANSMISSION AND RECEPTION OF UWB SIGNALS BASED ON ANTENNA DECODING

open access: yesInformation and Telecommunication Sciences, 2018
Background. A new idea for receiving and transmitting impulse radio ultrawideband signals with Pulse Position Coding (PPC) in transmitter station and antenna decoding in receiver station is proposed.

Evaluation of the cavitation generator efficiency in the hydro impulsive loosening of a coal-bed [PDF]

open access: yesE3S Web of Conferences, 2019
The paper presents the results of mining and experimental work, bench tests and theoretical studies of the energy characteristics of the stationary and pulsating fluid flow, which allow to estimate the efficiency of the cavitation generator in the hydro ...

An Accurate Evaluation of Switching Impulse Voltages for High-Voltage Tests

open access: yesEnergies, 2022
For assessment of the insulation performance of high-voltage (HV) equipment installed in extra-high-voltage (EHV) systems, switching impulse voltage tests are performed in an HV testing laboratory.

Generalized symmetries of impulsive gravitational waves [PDF]

open access: yesClassical and Quantum Gravity, 1997
We generalize previous \cite{AiBa2} work on the classification of ($C^\infty$) symmetries of plane-fronted waves with an impulsive profile. Due to the specific form of the profile it is possible to extend the group of normal-form-preserving diffeomorphisms to include non-smooth transformations.

Organ‐specific redox imbalances in spinal muscular atrophy mice are partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotides

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We identified a systemic, progressive loss of protein S‐glutathionylation—detected by nonreducing western blotting—alongside dysregulation of glutathione‐cycle enzymes in both neuronal and peripheral tissues of Taiwanese SMA mice. These alterations were partially rescued by SMN antisense oligonucleotide therapy, revealing persistent redox imbalance as ...

Epigenetic blind spots – the role of DNA methylation dynamics in stem cell‐based models of embryogenesis

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

From mice to humans—divergent strategies for intestinal homeostasis and regeneration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Recent advances such as organoid genome editing, xenotransplantation, imaging, and whole‐genome sequencing have enabled direct studies of human intestinal stem cells (ISCs). These studies reveal species‐specific features, including slower ISC proliferation, distinct injury responses, slower somatic mutation accumulation in humans, and an inverse ...
