Ionic Liquid‐Based Reversible Metal Electrodeposition for Adaptive Radiative Thermoregulation Under Extreme Environments

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A wideband tunable electrochromic device with dynamic thermal emissivity control is demonstrated. The system enables adaptive heat regulation via electrochemically modulated silver deposition, achieving efficient cooling and heating states. The flexible design ensures mechanical robustness under bending conditions, making it promising for portable and ...

The spatio-temporal structure of impulse-generated azimuthalsmall-scale Alfvén waves interacting with high-energy chargedparticles in the magnetosphere [PDF]

open access: yesAnnales Geophysicae, 2004
It is assumed to date that the energy source of azimuthal small-scale ULF waves in the magnetosphere (azimuthal wave numbers m≧1) is provided by the energetic particles interacting with the waves through the bounce-drift resonance.

Impulse as a Physical Measure and the Time-Independent Schrodinger Equation

open access: yes, 2023
Quantum mechanics is concerned with measurement and we suggest that in a bound problem impulses due to momentum are the form of measurement which occurs in x space. The Lorentz invariant A= -Et+px, which is also the free particle relativistic or nonrelativistic action with v=x/t, associates energy = pp/2m with time and p with x.

Biologically‐Inspired Melt Electrowriting for the Generation of Highly Biomimetic Functional Myocardium

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In this work, melt electrowriting is used to fabricate a 3D printed scaffold design that generates engineered cardiac tissues with in‐plane contraction, mimicking natural myocardium. It is shown that these tissues display advanced maturation and functionality.

Electron-deuteron scattering in a relativistic theory of hadrons [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
We review a three-dimensional formalism that provides a systematic way to include relativistic effects including relativistic kinematics, the effects of negative-energy states, and the boosts of the two-body system in calculations of two-body bound ...

Making Photoresponsive Metal–Organic Frameworks an Effective Class of Heterogeneous Photocatalyst

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review summarizes photoresponsive MOFs for photocatalytic applications, focusing on their capacity to enhance light harvesting, charge transfer, and surface reactions. While existing studies provide foundational insights, emerging characterization techniques enable a deeper understanding of photoresponsive MOFs.

Heat Conduction Modulation in Incommensurate Twisted Stacking of Transition‐Metal Dichalcogenide

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The interlayer thermal conductance in twisted bilayer TMDs is initially investigated experimentally by the thermoreflectance method. The overlap of lattice vibrations within individual layers and the interlayer interactions, as elucidated through both Raman spectroscopy and molecular dynamics simulations, are demonstrated to be critical factors in ...

Unique Performance Considerations for Printable Organic Semiconductor and Perovskite Radiation Detectors: Toward Consensus on Best Practice Evaluation

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A lack of standard approaches for testing and reporting the performance of metal halide perovskites and organic semiconductor radiation detectors has resulted in inconsistent interpretation of performance parameters, impeding progress in the field. This Perspective recommends key metrics and experimental details, which are suggested for reporting in ...

Self‐Poled Halide Perovskite Ruddlesden‐Popper Ferroelectric‐Photovoltaic Semiconductor Thin Films and Their Energy Harvesting Properties

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Low‐dimensional halide perovskite thin films, (BA)2(MA)n‐1PbnBr3n+1 (n = 1, 2), exhibit both semiconducting and ferroelectric properties, enabling mechanical and light energy harvesting. Using Cr/Cr₂O₃ or PCBM as barrier layers ensures reproducible ferroelectricity.
