Enhanced Fog Water Harvesting on Superhydrophobic Steel Meshes

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Fog harvesting using mesh designs offers a sustainable solution to water scarcity. This study highlights key considerations for fog harvesting research and develops a methodology for a standardized protocol reflecting fog characteristics and environmental conditions.

Economic determinants of the nominal treasury yield curve [PDF]

open access: yes
We study the effect of different types of macroeconomic impulses on the nominal yield curve. We employ two distinct approaches to identifying economic shocks in VARs. Our first approach uses a structural VAR due to Galí (1992).

Impulse and Momentum

open access: yes, 2012
In Chap. 8, Newton’s second law of motion is presented in the form of “equations of motion.” In Chap. 10, the concepts of work and energy are introduced. Based on the same law, “work-energy” and “conservation of energy” methods are devised to facilitate the solutions of specific problems in kinetics. In this chapter, the concepts of linear momentum and

Fluorinated Graphene‐Coated N95 Respirators for Enhanced Protection against Viral Accumulation and Transmission

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
We develop a one‐step spray coating approach to coat the fluorinated graphene (FG) nanosheet onto the N95 respirators. The spray‐coated superhydrophobic N95 respirators can effectively repel respiratory droplets off instantaneously and prevent SARS‐CoV‐2 virus accumulation on the surface.

Hidden stochastic, quantum and dynamic information of Markov diffusion process and its evaluation by an entropy integral measure under the impulse controls actions, applied to information observer [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2012
Hidden information emerges under impulse interactions with Markov diffusion process modeling interactive random environment. Impulse yes no action cuts Markov correlations revealing Bit of hidden information connected correlated states. Information appears phenomenon of interaction cutting correlations carrying entropy.

Time-fixed rendezvous by impulse factoring with an intermediate timing constraint [PDF]

open access: yes
A method is presented for factoring a two-impulse orbital transfer into a three- or four-impulse transfer which solves the rendezvous problem and satisfies an intermediate timing constraint.

Neuronal Pathways and Synaptic Connexions in the Abdominal Cord of the Crayfish [PDF]

open access: yes, 1959
1. An investigation has been made into the function and distribution of nerve fibres in the abdominal ganglion chain and its roots in the crayfish, Procambarus clarkii, by leading off action potentials from small prepared bundles following sensory ...

A Novel Protein‐Polysaccharide Oral Nanoemulsion Targeting Activated Hepatic Stellate Cells to Enhance the Therapeutic Effect of Pirfenidone on Fibrosis After Transarterial Chemoembolization for Liver Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Transarterial Chemoembolization (TACE) may aggravate liver fibrosis. In this study, a novel oral targeting nanoemulsion is fabricated to enhance the therapeutic effect of antifibrotic drug‐pirfenidone (PFD) on fibrosis after TACE. Studies have shown that PFD nanoemulsion can enhance the oral liver targeting effect of PFD, and effectively improve the ...

Stabilized Intermediate Phase Via Pseudo‐Halide Anions Toward Highly Efficient and Light‐Soaking Stable Perovskite Solar Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 35, Issue 12, March 18, 2025.
The formate pseudo‐halide anion is strategically introduced at the buried interface to stabilize the intermediate phases formed during perovskite crystallization. The controlled crystallization enhances crystallinity and alleviates tensile strain, eliminating residual PbI2 near the buried interface.
