Variable Time Impulse System Optimization with Continuous Control and Impulse Control

Asian Journal of Control, 2013
AbstractOptimal control of a variable time impulse system is considered in this study. Besides impulse control, the system is assumed to operate with continuous control also. Necessary conditions for the optimization of such system are derived using the calculus of variations.

Deterministic Impulse Control Problems

SIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 1985
The paper deals with the stationary optimal control problem of impulsive type. The available controls are continuous and impulsive and the controlled system is governed by ordinary differential equations in \(R^ N\). The main result of the paper states that the optimal cost function u associated to the control problem is the unique viscosity solution ...

Impulse Control Disorders

American Journal of Psychiatry, 2011
Historical accounts of individuals with diverse and unusual impulse control difficulties have been described for centuries. Categorization of impulsive control dysfunction as a distinct diagnostic group (impulse control disorder-not elsewhere classified) has been much more recent, and our current knowledge base is still very limited.

Impulse-Control Disorders

1995
This scale measures the characteristic impulsiveness of individuals. The latest version of the Barratt Impulsiveness Scale is a 30-item self-report meassure (Patton, Stanford, & Barratt, in press). Barratt developed the first version of the scale in 1959 (Barratt, 1959) and then revised and refined the scale over the years (Barratt, 1985; Barratt, 1993)

Impulse Control Disorders

2014
Impulse control disorders (ICDs) or behavioral addictions in Parkinson’s disease are common and can be associated with significant consequences. These behaviors are associated with dopaminergic medications and include pathological gambling, hypersexuality, binge eating, and compulsive shopping.

Impulsive control problems

2005
We consider a continuous time control system. The control involvs the state trajectory jump discontinuities in n interior times, called impulse moments. We deal with three kind of controls: (1°) The impuls moments are fixed. The parameters describing the jump are decision variables; (2°) Jump parameters are fixed. The moments are decision variables; (3°
