Pathological Eating Patterns in Adults Displaying Obsessive‐Compulsive Symptoms: A Scoping Review

open access: yesEuropean Eating Disorders Review, Volume 34, Issue 3, Page 780-804, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim Numerous studies have now shown that those with eating disorders have statistically higher rates of obsessive‐compulsive disorder (OCD). However, much less is known about the eating behaviours of adults with OCD. This scoping review aimed to identify and synthesise the existing literature describing pathological eating behaviours in adults

Testing DAT1 and DRD4 Genes in Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder Using a Wide Spectrum of Neurocognitive Batteries

open access: yesInternational Journal of Developmental Neuroscience, Volume 86, Issue 3, May 2026.
This study examined DAT1 and DRD4 VNTR polymorphisms and neurocognitive performance in 336 children and adolescents with ADHD and controls using the CNS Vital Signs battery. DAT1 10R/10R showed no significant effects after adjustment, whereas DRD4 4R/4R was associated with reduced cognitive flexibility. ABSTRACT Attention‐deficit/hyperactivity disorder

Mild Solutions for w-Weighted, Φ-Hilfer, Non-Instantaneous, Impulsive, w-Weighted, Fractional, Semilinear Differential Inclusions of Order μ ∈ (1, 2) in Banach Spaces

open access: yesFractal and Fractional
The aim of this work is to obtain novel and interesting results for mild solutions to a semilinear differential inclusion involving a w-weighted, Φ-Hilfer, fractional derivative of order μ∈(1,2) with non-instantaneous impulses in Banach spaces with ...

GOES‐R Series X‐Ray Sensor (XRS): 2. On‐Orbit Measurements and Calibrations

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Space Physics, Volume 131, Issue 5, May 2026.
Abstract An X‐Ray Sensor (XRS) has been onboard each of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellites (GOES) since 1975. XRS measures full‐disk soft X‐ray irradiance in two wavelength bands, 0.05–0.4 nm and 0.1–0.8 nm.

A new reference for changes in X‐ray scattering from water due to temperature changes at ambient conditions

open access: yesJournal of Synchrotron Radiation, Volume 33, Issue 3, Page 649-657, May 2026.
A newly measured reference dataset for the temperature differential scattering signal of water, acquired at the DanMAX beamline of the MAX IV synchrotron, is presented. The X‐ray solution scattering from water S(Q)H2O depends on temperature and density, a phenomenon that is utilized in, for example, temperature‐resolved and ultrafast time‐resolved X‐ray

Trajectories of genetic risk across dimensions of alcohol use behaviors

open access: yesAddiction, Volume 121, Issue 5, Page 1153-1165, May 2026.
Abstract Background and aims Alcohol use behaviors (AUBs) manifest in a variety of normative and problematic ways across the life course, all of which are heritable. Twin studies show that genetic influences on AUBs change across development, but this is usually not considered in research identifying and investigating the genes linked to AUBs ...

Psychostimulant treatment uniquely reduces left uncinate fasciculus microstructural integrity in ADHD youth with a familial risk for bipolar I disorder: a 12‐week DTI study

open access: yesJournal of Child Psychology and Psychiatry, Volume 67, Issue 5, Page 696-706, May 2026.
Background Bipolar I disorder (BD) is associated with reduced white matter microstructural integrity in the uncinate fasciculus (UF), a primary fiber tract connecting frontolimbic systems. Although familial history for BD, attention‐deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and psychostimulants are important risk factors implicated in BD pathoetiology ...

Transient Absorption Spectroscopy of Blue Copper Sites in Divergent Protein Folds: Azurin Versus Multicopper Oxidase

open access: yesChemPhysChem, Volume 27, Issue 8, 28 April 2026.
Ultrafast pump‐probe spectroscopy of two evolutionarily divergent blue copper proteins reveals distinct low‐frequency ground‐state collective modes (38 cm−1 in SLAC, 29 cm−1 in azurin) generated via impulsive stimulated Raman scattering, potentially reflecting the differences in the rigidity of the surrounding protein scaffold beyond a conserved Cu ...
