Review and prospects of shear test of bolted rock joints

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
The laboratory shear test equipment, test method, and numerical simulation of bolted rock joints were summarized. The shortcomings and limitations of the current research were analyzed, and the research prospects were proposed. Abstract Rock bolting is a critical approach in geotechnical engineering for supporting weak rocks.

Harvesting Control for a Stage-Structured Predator-Prey Model with Ivlev's Functional Response and Impulsive Stocking on Prey

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2007
We investigate a delayed stage-structured Ivlev's functional response predator-prey model with impulsive stocking on prey and continuous harvesting on predator. Sufficient conditions of the global attractivity of predator-extinction periodic solution and

Lyapunov-Razumikhin method for asymptotic stability of sets for impulsive functional differential equations

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Differential Equations, 2008
In the present paper, we study the global stability of sets of sufficiently general type with respect to impulsive functional differential equations with variable impulsive perturbations.

An n‐of‐1 gene‐directed drug repurposing trial for an ultrarare genetic condition

open access: yesEpilepsia, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective Gain‐of‐function (GoF) variants in the KCNC1 potassium channel subunit gene (Kv3.1) cause motor/cognitive delays and hypotonia and have been associated with seizures. Fluoxetine has inhibitory effects on Kv3.1. However, open‐label nonrandomized administration is insufficient to guide clinical decision‐making in ultrarare conditions ...

A new nonlinear impulsive delay differential inequality and its applications

open access: yesJournal of Inequalities and Applications, 2011
In this article, a new nonlinear impulsive delay differential inequality is established, which can be applied in the dynamical analysis of nonlinear systems to improve many extant results.

Optimal control problem for the impulsive differential equations with non-local boundary conditions

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2013
The optimal control problem is investigated, where the state of the controlled system is described by the impulsive differential equations with non-local boundary conditions.

Cognitive and behavioral clinical outcome assessments in children with developmental and epileptic encephalopathies: Issues and instruments

open access: yesEpilepsia, EarlyView.
Abstract Children with developmental and epileptic encephalopathies (DEEs) face cognitive and behavioral challenges that may have a greater impact than seizures on their quality of life (QoL). The need to assess these nonseizure outcomes for evaluating treatments is increasingly recognized.

Integral BVPs for a Class of First-Order Impulsive Functional Differential Equations

open access: yesInternational Journal of Differential Equations, 2010
The methods of lower and upper solutions and monotone iterative technique are employed to the study of integral boundary value problems for a class of first-order impulsive functional differential equations.

Add‐on treatment with vinpocetine reduces seizure frequency and improves comorbidities in patients with loss‐of‐function γ‐aminobutyric acid type A receptor variants

open access: yesEpilepsia, EarlyView.
Abstract Objective The semisynthetic compound vinpocetine has gained attention as a potential precision medicine for developmental and epileptic encephalopathies caused by loss‐of‐function (LoF) variants in γ‐aminobutyric acid type A (GABAA) receptor genes. As a positive allosteric modulator of GABAA receptors, case reports suggest that vinpocetine can
