Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.

Enhancing parameters of silicon varactors using laser gettering
The authors investigate how and why defects influence the inverse characteristics of varactors. The paper presents experimental results on the effect laser gettering has on the electrical parameters of varactors.

Effect of charged impurity correlation on transport in monolayer and bilayer graphene
We study both monolayer and bilayer graphene transport properties taking into account the presence of correlations in the spatial distribution of charged impurities. In particular we find that the experimentally observed sublinear scaling of the graphene

Creep experiments at 900°C on coarse‐grained steel‐ceramic composites containing recycled magnesia reveal that higher ceramic volume fractions significantly enhance the creep resistance. Detailed EBSD investigations identify subgrain formation in the steel matrix as the dominant deformation mechanism.

Electromigration process for the purification of molten silicon during crystal growth [PDF]
A process for the purification of molten materials during crystal growth by electromigration of impurities to localized dirty zones. In the Czochralski crystal growing process, the impurities are electromigrated away from the crystallization interface by

Stability of Unconventional Superconductivity on Surfaces of Topological Insulators
Superconductivity on the surface of topological insulators is known to be anisotropic and unconventional in that the symmetry is the mixture of s-wave and nodeless p-wave component.

Crossover from Regular to Chaotic Behavior in the Conductance of Periodic Quantum Chains [PDF]
The conductance of a waveguide containing finite number of periodically placed identical point-like impurities is investigated. It has been calculated as a function of both the impurity strength and the number of impurities using the Landauer-B\"uttiker ...

Influence of an Argon/Silane Atmosphere on the Temperature of a Thermal Plasma
The influence of a silane‐doped argon atmosphere on the chemical composition and temperature of a thermal nontransferring argon plasma is investigated using optical emission spectroscopy. As a result of the high amount of free electrons resulting from the stepwise ionization and dissociation of the silane molecule, even a silane addition of 0.01 vol ...

Particulate airborne impurities [PDF]
The cumulative effects of air pollutants are of principal concern in research on environmental protection in Sweden. Post-industrial society has imposed many limits on emitted air pollutants, yet the number of reports on the negative effects from them is
