Status kobiety w polskiej kulturze ludowej. Szkic antropologiczny
The status and position of a woman in folk culture were primarily based on stereotypical thinking. According to that, she personified negative values, filled with darkness, passivity and indifference. She also embodied chaos, destruction, the "that word"

Intercalation of a series of FeSe1−xSx host crystals with tetramethylammonium cations (TMA+) linearly scales the critical temperature Tc from 43 K down to 28 K with increasing sulfur incorporation. The chemical pressure induced by the partial substitution shows a weakening of the superconducting properties in both hosts and intercalates in a remarkably

Effect of conduction electron interactions on Anderson impurities
The effect of conduction electron interactions for an Anderson impurity is investigated in one dimension using a scaling approach. The flow diagrams are obtained by solving the renormalization group equations numerically.

Vivid Structural Coloration in Transparent MXene‐Cellulose Nanocrystals Composite Films
Vivid structural coloration in reflectance and high transparency in transmittance modes are observed in biopolymer‐layered composite films. The ultrathin multilayered structures have unique optical appearance, near‐infrared bandgap, and strong optical reflection caused by alternating MXene and cellulose nanocrystals layers with high refractive index ...

Current patterns and magnetic impurities in time-reversal breaking superconductor
We study the impurity effect in the time reversal symmetry (${\cal T}$) breaking superconductor based on the Bogoliubov-de Gennes (BdG) equations. In ${\cal T}$-violating superconductors, spontaneous currents are induced around the impurity.

Science is impure in two ways. There is not a 'pure' science. By this I mean that physics impinges on astronomy, on the one hand, and chemistry on biology on the other. And not only does each support its neighbors but derives sustenance from them. The same can be said of chemistry.

Carboxyl‐functionalized graphene quantum dots (cGQDs) exhibit high singlet oxygen quantum yield due to strong spin–orbit coupling. cGQDs achieve minimum bactericidal concentration of only 0.4 µg mL−1 against S. aureus under low‐intensity illumination.

Off‐centering of cations in pavonite‐structured Ag1.75InSb5.75Se11 (AISS) breaks crystal symmetry, inducing Rashba‐like band splitting and high band degeneracy, thus enhancing Seebeck coefficients. Soft bonds between off‐centered cations and Se atoms increase phonon scattering, achieving low lattice thermal conductivity (0.22 W m−1K−1 at 723 K). Doping

Impurity Effects in Electroplated-Copper Solder Joints
Copper (Cu) electroplating is a mature technology, and has been extensively applied in microelectronic industry. With the development of advanced microelectronic packaging, Cu electroplating encounters new challenges for atomic deposition on a non-planar
