Neon radiation efficiency for different confinement regimes in TEXTOR-94 [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
For neon seeded discharges the quantity [DeltaP(rad)/DeltaZ(eff)(0)]/)over bar>(2)(e0), which depends linearly on the effective neon cooling rates and which can be taken as a measure of the radiation efficiency of neon, is not a constant for a given ...

Engineering a Sonotherapeutic RBC Membrane‐Derived Nanoparticle Platform for the Treatment of Liver Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Herein, an RBC membrane‐derived nanoparticle (CMN‐ICG) is engineered to efficiently deliver a sonosensitizing agent, indocyanine green (ICG), for sonotherapy of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC). CMN‐ICG exhibits excellent cytocompatibility, significantly enhances hepatocyte uptake, and produces excessive reactive oxygen species (ROS) upon ultrasound ...

Accelerated Discovery of High Performance Ni3S4/Ni3Mo HER Catalysts via Bayesian Optimization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Integrated workflow accelerates the catalyst discovery of hydrogen evolution reaction via Bayesian optimization. An experiment‐trained surrogate model proposes synthesis conditions, guiding iterative refinement using electrochemical performance metrics.

Divertor enrichment of recycling impurity species (He, N2, Ne, Ar, Kr) in ASDEX Upgrade H-modes

open access: yesNuclear Fusion
Particle balance calculations are done for the seeding species N _2 , Ne, Ar, Kr as well as He with the aim of obtaining a realistic description of the divertor and core plasma impurity content.

Is keV ion induced pattern formation on Si(001) caused by metal impurities?

open access: yes, 2010
We present ion beam erosion experiments performed in ultra high vacuum using a differentially pumped ion source and taking care that the ion beam hits the Si(001) sample only.

Motional narrowing effect in certain random binary lattices [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
We present a model for a class of random binary lattices by introducing a one-dimensional system where impurities are placed in one sublattice while host atoms lie on the other sublattice.

Molecularly Engineered Highly Stable Memristors with Ultra‐Low Operational Voltage: Integrating Synthetic DNA with Quasi‐2D Perovskites

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Molecularly engineered memristors integrating Ag nanoparticle–embedded synthetic DNA with quasi‐2D halide perovskites enable ultra‐low‐operational voltage, forming‐free resistive switching, and record‐low power density. This synergistic integration of customized DNA and 2D OHP in bio‐hybrid architecture enhances charge transport, reduces variability ...

Effects of divertor geometry on detachment and core plasma performance with impurity seeding in EAST

open access: yesNuclear Fusion
Divertor detachment operation compatible with the core plasma is an effective method to alleviate the steady-state heat flux approaching the divertor target; this scheme will be adopted by high-performance tokamaks in the future, such as International ...

METHOD FOR CLEANING AMARANTH SEEDS FROM IMPURITIES

open access: yesТехника и технология пищевых производств, 2017
The article is devoted to the development of a method for cleaning of amaranth seeds from impurities to prepare them for grinding into food grade flour. The method of air-sieve cleaning amaranth grain takes into account the size and content of individual fractions that differ in size but not in color, which worsens the quality of the grinding products.

Amyloidogenic Peptide Fragments Designed From Bacterial Collagen‐like Proteins Form Hydrogel

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study identified amyloidogenic sequence motifs in bacterial collagen‐like proteins and exploited these to design peptides that self‐assemble into β‐sheet fibers and form hydrogels. One hydrogel supported healthy fibroblast growth, showing promise for biocompatible materials. Our work demonstrates that bacterial sequences can be harnessed to create
