GSimp: A Gibbs sampler based left-censored missing value imputation approach for metabolomics studies. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS Computational Biology, 2018
Left-censored missing values commonly exist in targeted metabolomics datasets and can be considered as missing not at random (MNAR). Improper data processing procedures for missing values will cause adverse impacts on subsequent statistical analyses ...

To Impute or not to Impute? A Review of Alternative Poverty Estimation Methods in the Context of Unavailable Consumption Data [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
There is an increasingly stronger demand for more frequent and accurate poverty estimates, despite the oftentimes unavailable household consumption data. We offer a review of alternative imputation methods that have been employed to provide poverty estimates in such contexts.

Single‐cell DNA methylation profiling: Technologies, computation, and applications in precision oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Single‐cell DNA methylation (scDNAme) profiling maps epimutational clonal evolution, revealing mechanisms of malignancy and therapeutic resistance across diverse cancer types. By providing a high‐resolution landscape of intratumoral heterogeneity, these technologies empower precise patient stratification, guide the development of enhanced ...

Multiple imputation methods for handling missing values in a longitudinal categorical variable with restrictions on transitions over time: a simulation study

open access: yesBMC Medical Research Methodology, 2019
Background Longitudinal categorical variables are sometimes restricted in terms of how individuals transition between categories over time. For example, with a time-dependent measure of smoking categorised as never-smoker, ex-smoker, and current-smoker ...

Analyses and comparison of imputation-based association methods. [PDF]

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2010
Genotype imputation methods have become increasingly popular for recovering untyped genotype data. An important application with imputed genotypes is to test genetic association for diseases.

Long‐Term Follow‐Up of Chemotherapy‐Associated Biological Aging in Women With Early Breast Cancer

open access: yesAging and Cancer, EarlyView.
Women threated with adjuvant chemotherapy for early breast cancer have sustained long‐term increase in p16INK4a,, a robust marker of cell senescence, suggesting a chemotherapy‐associated age acceleration. p16INK4a as well as other biomarkers may identify patients at greatest risk for senescence‐related diseases of aging.

Comparison of Imputation Methods for Handling Missing Categorical Data with Univariate Pattern|| Una comparación de métodos de imputación de variables categóricas con patrón univariado

open access: yesRevista de Métodos Cuantitativos para la Economía y la Empresa, 2014
This paper examines the sample proportions estimates in the presence of univariate missing categorical data. A database about smoking habits (2011 National Addiction Survey of Mexico) was used to create simulated yet realistic datasets at rates 5% and 15%

Onasemnogene Abeparvovec in Type I Spinal Muscular Atrophy: 24‐Month Follow‐Up From the Italian Registry

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Onasemnogene abeparvovec (OA) is an AAV9‐based gene therapy for spinal muscular atrophy type I (SMA I). Real‐world outcomes show increased response variability compared to clinical trials, and follow‐up data beyond 12–18 months are limited.
