Dynamic Modeling and Reaction Wheel Controller Design for Flexible Satellite Aocs [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Astronomy and Space Sciences, 1997
In this study, a few of the modeling methods for flexible spacecraft were introduced and adopted to the modeling of a 3-axes stabilization satellite. The generated model was put into pre-built rigid body attitude control loop.

Characterization of Nitinol Produced by Laser Powder Bed Fusion for Mechanical Metamaterial Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Stabilization of L‐PBF Ni50.7Ti49.3 under low‐cycle loading was investigated. Recoverable strain after cycling was dependent on the amount of applied load. Recovery ratio was 53.4% and 35.1% at intermediate and high load, respectively. The maximum total strain reached 10.3% at a high load of 1200 MPa.

Optimized in-loop filtering in versatile video coding using improved fast guided filter

open access: yesIndonesian Journal of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science
<p>Devices with varying display capabilities from a common source may face degradation in video quality because of the limitation in transmission bandwidth and storage. The solution to overcome this challenge is to enrich the video quality. For the mentioned purpose, this paper introduces an improved fast guided filter (IFGF) for the contemporary

Development of Sustainable MgO–C Refractories Using MgO–C Recyclates and a Novel Eco‐Friendly Fructose–Tannin Binder Crosslinked With Citric Acid

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This study develops sustainable MgO–C refractories using recycled materials and eco‐friendly fructose–tannin binders. The enhanced performance of citric acid as a cross‐linker and functional additives on mechanical and thermomechanical properties was examined. Characterization included strength tests, immersion trials, and microstructural and inclusion

Suppressed carrier full-spectrum combining [PDF]

open access: yes
A technique to accomplish full spectrum arraying where all the telemetry power is put into the subcarrier sidebands (suppressed carrier) is described. The matched filter needed in each antenna prior to cross correlation for deriving the coherence delay ...

Force feedback linearization for higher-order electromechanical sigma-delta modulators.

open access: yes, 2005
A higher-order electromechanical sigma–delta modulator can greatly improve the signal-to-noise ratio compared with a second-order loop that only uses the sensing element as a loop filter.

Bioinspired Shape‐Memory Hook Fasteners With Programmable Interlocking and Silent Release

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Bioinspired hook fasteners made from epoxy shape‐memory polymers are shown to switch between strong, secure attachment and gentle, silent release when heated. By combining programmable geometry and material response, these adaptive fasteners outperform commercial systems in strength and noise control, enabling new solutions for robotics, medical ...
