Probabilistic in-network caching for information-centric networks [PDF]
In-network caching necessitates the transformation of centralised operations of traditional, overlay caching techniques to a decentralised and uncoordinated environment. Given that caching capacity in routers is relatively small in comparison to the amount of forwarded content, a key aspect is balanced distribution of content among the available caches.

Cost-Aware Joint Caching and Forwarding in Networks with Heterogeneous Cache Resources
Caching is crucial for enabling high-throughput networks for data intensive applications. Traditional caching technology relies on DRAM, as it can transfer data at a high rate. However, DRAM capacity is subject to contention by most system components and thus is very limited, implying that DRAM-only caches cannot scale to meet growing demand ...

Abstract Research Summary We extend ecosystem theory to cases in which platforms are complementors to each other: inter‐platform ecosystems. Analyzing web traffic data on 241 European platforms, we identify and characterize demand‐side inter‐platform ecosystems, and propose a theory of why they emerge.

Exploring the Roles of In-Network Caching in ICN
The universal in-network caching, as a prominent feature of information centric networking(ICN), plays important roles in the demonstration of ICN's advantages over other architectures. But so far, many people still have different perception of it.
