In situ catalytic reforming of plastic pyrolysis vapors using MSW incineration ashes

open access: yesEnvironmental Pollution, 2021
The valorization of municipal solid waste incineration bottom and fly ashes (IBA and IFA) as catalysts for thermochemical plastic treatment was investigated. As-received, calcined, and Ni-loaded ashes prepared via hydrothermal synthesis were used as low-cost waste-derived catalysts for in-line upgrading of volatile products from plastic pyrolysis.

Economic analysis and optimization for bio-hydrogen production from oil palm waste via steam gasification [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Biomass steam gasification with in-situ carbon dioxide capture using CaO exhibits good prospects for the production of hydrogen rich gas. In Malaysia, due to abundance of palm waste, it is a good candidate to be used as a feedstock for hydrogen ...

Pyrolysis of Huolinhe lignite extract by in-situ pyrolysis-time of flight mass spectrometry

open access: yesFuel Processing Technology, 2015
In this paper, tetrahydrofuran extract of Huolinhe lignite was selected as sample and a new in-situ pyrolysis-time of flight mass spectrometry (PV-TOF-MS) was used to study the evolution of initial pyrolysis products of extract. Electron impact mass spectrometry (El-MS) and vacuum ultraviolet photoionization mass spectrometry (VUV-PI-MS) were used to ...

In situ and Ex situ Catalytic Pyrolysis of Microalgae and Integration With Pyrolytic Fractionation

open access: yesFrontiers in Chemistry, 2020
Microalgae are attractive feedstocks for biofuel production and are especially suitable for thermochemical conversion due to the presence of thermally labile constituents—lipids, starch and protein. However, the thermal degradation of starch and proteins
