3D‐Printable Near‐Infrared‐Responsive Microscale Cantilever made of the Composite Consisting of Ceramic Particles and Graphene Flakes

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A near infrared‐responsive microscale cantilever is developed using a 3D‐printable composite based on photocurable resin consisting of sepiolite and graphene flakes. The material absorbs 1064 nm light, causing shape transformation with an average displacement of 1.3 mm in 1.7 s. Displacement is measured via video recording.

Multimode Adaptive Thermoregulation Enabled by Shape Morphing and Radiative Cooling Porous Polyurethane

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
A shape‐morphing, porous polyurethane film combines passive radiative cooling with folding to deliver multilevel heating‐and‐cooling control. High solar reflectance and midinfrared emissivity keep surfaces up to 3.5 °C cooler in direct sunlight, while photothermal triggering folds the film to absorb solar heat.

Enhanced Mechanical and Shape Memory Properties of Laser Direct Energy Deposited CoCrFeMn High Entropy Alloy by Carbon Addition

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
Feasibility of improving the mechanical and shape‐memory properties of a CoCrFeMn high‐entropy alloy through carbon addition is investigated. The recovery strain of the carbon‐containing alloy is approximately four to five times higher than that of the carbon‐free alloy.
